The atmosphere of this restaurant is very confusing. It doesn’t seem as if they really know what direction they going for. However, the food was really good, and the service was fantastic. I appreciated the hospitality despite how busy the restaurant was. We never went without anything during our meal, and were treated kindly throughout. It really made up for the setting

Terrific food in a very casual setting. Great for small groups and meetups.

Kid-friendliness: Not a great venue for kids

Sucky service ! Came here a few times before & loved my experience. was just here for my birthday (2-27) & enjoyed myself. Unfortunately tonight (3-17) was not good at all! From the time I came in til the moment I left the service was horrible. The server (short Mexican lady) was sooo unpleasant, as if she had better things to do than to serve me. I usually spend around $100-$200 on drinks & food when I’m here, we came for our anniversary date , but quickly left after a good 20 mins due to the dryness of the entire atmosphere. I didn’t even want to tip but as a fellow food industry worker, I did so out of the kindness of my heart. The sever still gave attitude, & I regretted even coming there in the 1st place. Usually the bar is lit, great music & nice service. Tonight I had to count to 10, because I swear the lady was trying me with her dry irritable attitude. I’m a nice person so I expect my service to be welcoming. I’m definitely gonna take a break from here. Hopefully things are better for the summer. The sushi wasn’t that great tonight either. Everything was a 1 out of 10. Service, sushi, atmosphere. I doubt any of the other workers cared either. Oh well.

Had a really bad experience with the staff here. It happened a few days ago, I reflected on it, and thought it best to leave a review. I'd had some bad experiences with fellow bar patrons, and staff didn't seem to care or work it out.

At first I thought it might just be a shift here or a shift there, but it became pretty obvious that they allow a lot of really bad behavior but they don't allow pushback. So they love the happy drunks, but as soon as you're not loving the way someone treats you, even if you're right, it doesn't matter to them. You need to leave. And that was not an experience I look to have happen twice.

I want to be respected if I go to a bar. It doesn't seem like they're very consistent on being respectful. I've gone to plenty of bars before, and it is very rare for me to have any issues, yet after helping 1 fellow bar patron being harassed only to then be harassed myself and told by staff that I was the issue, I'm not going back.

Enjoyed it very much. It's a bar, with bartenders who are pros. Excellent boutbon selection that you can get without the pretense of some other places in the immediate area. And the sushi is fantastic!

Love going here. It's really small, but well worth it if you get a table.

The Warren is the only “real” bar in downtown Pittsburgh, and it’s nothing short of kick ass. The bar tending staff are fantastic, it’s not amateur hour here. The crowd is also more “locals” which is a rare breed in downtown Pittsburgh. The cocktails and food are consistently excellent, the Faust’s Pact and Fred’s Old Fashioned being stand outs (the latter was featured in the WSJ). But the true stand out with this establishment is the whiskey collection. They now have 4-5 barrel picks that the staff chose from Kentucky. Other downtown Pittsburgh bars having their own bourbon or rye single barrel picks? — Zero — to my knowledge.

Came to this gem of a bar after reading about their Old Fashioned in the Wall Street Journal, and it did not disappoint! The drinks were phenomenal and reasonably priced—definitely worth the hype. Mike, the bartender, was fantastic, making sure everything was on point. I also had the sushi, and it was unexpectedly delicious for a spot like this. The crowd was lively, with new faces showing up as the night went on, giving the place a fun and welcoming vibe. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area!

I'm just visiting. Stumbled in here. The most awesome bar ever. Michael took care of me. Best bartender that ever existed. If you're in Pittsburgh, you have to come here.
