This restaurant does not provide good customer service. Customers' food is not delivered on time because they are too slow and lazy.
I had a great dinner here with a friend! Service was a little delayed, but it was busy when we went and I was happy to sit and sip on my delicious and reasonably priced marg. We enjoyed their deal letting you pick two dips for an appetizer, and I had an excellent vegetarian burrito! Would recommend when you’re looking for a relaxing dinner.

This place was amazing! The atmosphere is cozy, the food was spectacular, and the service was great. Our server was very gracious when I made an error ordering. Will be back for another delicious vegetarian bean burrito! 🌯

My meal consisted of chips and salsa, a blood orange margarita, 2 tacos (chicken and chorizo, and steak), the white bean chili, and an espresso lava cake. Solid food all around. The green tomatillo is a must, and the white bean chili was a stand out as well. The tacos were great, the margaritas were tasty, and the dessert hit the spot. Consistently served great food here. I paid $80+ for 2 adult meals with margaritas, 1 dessert, 1 taco for a child with a horchata drink, and chips and salsa. Overall, a 4.5 out of 5.

The quesobirria tacos are incredible. The salsas are some of the best I’ve had in Pittsburgh. The service is always attentive and friendly- we love Tocaya!

This is most likely my number one Mexican restaurant in town. Everything is just a little elevated in preparation and flavor. Even the side salad is something to legit look forward to - not an afterthought.
The cocktail specials are also consistently good and balanced - I'd argue they're truly craft cocktails. They don't follow the status quo of some cheap sour mix and sugary fruit flavored syrups - instead they use legit tequila and mezcals, freshly juiced or muddled fruits, and are rarely too sweet.
Service is fast, friendly, and efficient.
Decor is contemporary, warm, and clearly Mexican with great little animal statuettes everywhere.

Wow! We all loved this place. The Tocayo lunch special is a delight and a good deal. We enjoyed carnitas tacos and fish tacos. I loved the salad dressing--it had a little heat! My friend loved the horchata and we all had a sip. So good!! The place is really special and beautiful inside. Cozy and peaceful (at least at lunch time).
