Beware - many things listed on their menu as "vegetarian" are actually made with chicken stock. The rice, the red + green enchilada sauces, the tamales, the re-fried beans and the ranchero sauce all are NOT vegetarian. Even the tortillas are cooked in lard.🤬

I had a wonderful experience at Totopo. The food was authentic and everything tasted delicious. I particularly enjoyed the carne asada steak, which was cooked to perfection.

The food here is oddly underseasoned. It needs salt & pepper for starters. Even the salsa & chips, served at the bar with drinks, lacked in salt! Margaritas were “meh.” Not really great. Service was nice. Other than that-please add seasoning to your food. Bland Mexican food? No bueno!

The drowned burrito is the stuff of legends. My only complaint is someone in my party ordered a drink for happy hour and was charged full price.

Food and service were excellent. My only issue was with dimmed lights, maybe I am getting old. Saw big groups enjoying their time and having fun. We definitely enjoyed our food and drinks.

Came here with friends last night for the first time. The food was really good! I wish I got a better picture than my instagram screenshot but I had started eating it already it smelled so good! I got the pick 3 and they provided a variety of options for it. Our server ended up suggesting things for me because I was so indecisive but they all turned out amazing! To add, I also thought that them making the guac in front of you was a unique touch and had never seen that at a restaurant before.

The atmosphere was also nice too, they had a low lighting ambiance which made it really intimate while catching up with my friends! There was a lot of people but the spacing of the seating allowed for everyone to still have their space and not have everyone in each other’s conversations!

Parking: We parked in the lot that was a little up the street it was $2 after 6pm for a Saturday night.

One of the best restaurants in Pittsburgh. Its perfect for families, dinners with friends, or a date night. The food is always great and fresh. The al pastor tacos and the torta never disappoint and go great with a blood orange margarita.
