I recently visited this Iranian restaurant and had a mixed experience with the staff. The older sister working there was very kind, polite, and helpful, I truly appreciated her attitude toward customers.

Unfortunately, my interaction with the younger sister was the complete opposite. When I asked for a container to take my leftover food home, she rudely told me to step back and refused to give me one. Her tone and behavior were disrespectful and unprofessional. Eventually, the older sister stepped in and kindly provided the container.
We had to wait quite a long time for the food to be ready. Unfortunately, the saffron rice was terrible , it tasted like rosewater instead of saffron

Customer service matters, and this type of behavior is disappointing. I hope management addresses this, because respectful treatment of customers should be a priority

Love Ash reshteh and Halim! The first time we visited, we noticed some issues but didn’t say anything because we wanted to support them. Unfortunately, the same problems happened again. We were hoping for authentic Persian food, but it didn’t quite meet our expectations. The tomatoes were always served cold. They have increased the prices but not the quality. I believe they are the only Persian restaurant in Pittsburgh, which is why they serve whatever they want.

Great find in Pittsburgh! The kebabs were tender and flavorful, perfectly grilled with that authentic char. The rice was aromatic, and the portions were generous.
Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and everything tasted fresh and homemade. Loved the mix of Persian and Turkish dishes—definitely coming back!
Highly recommended!

I ordered takeout, asked for shivid polo with lamb shank. I was given a different food. They may have been out of it; without telling me, they substituted with different rice, zereshk polo. I became suspicious when they handed me the food bag tightly stapled so I wouldn’t check.
They are closed on Wednesday so I couldn’t return the food. I am very disappointed.

I’m off the tab having a great meal! The heaviness of lamb and rice and the lightness of Persian tossed salad. As I sit here I find myself thinking about Persian restaurants, and what it is to be one in Pittsburgh. I myself come from Baltimore, I could have been Persian, but I wasn’t and that is that. My role in Persian food is to go to Persian restaurants in Pittsburgh and eat at them. There is something deeply spiritual about all this.

We ordered the Persian eggplant appetizer, one Afghan and one Iranian main dish, and the Kunefe for dessert. The dishes were authentic and flavorful—perhaps not the best we’ve ever had, but still very enjoyable. We truly appreciated the warm hospitality, attentive service, and cozy ambiance. Overall, a lovely dining experience!
