These are hands down the best cupcakes in Pittsburgh. The cake itself is moist and flavorful. The icing is delicious and has a nice texture and it’s not overly sweet. The owner is very kind and helpful! A true artiste!

April was easy to work with, everything she bakes tastes amazing, and all for a great price! Highly recommend.

I used Vanilla Pastry Studio for my wedding day cake and cupcakes. We had asked for a plain vanilla cake and white frosting, and somehow, they went above and beyond with the cake to make it look elegant and beautiful. The cupcakes were a huge hit among guests as well, not a single one was left after the night! I would recommended Vanilla Pastry Studio for any event, whether it be your wedding day or a birthday!

The BEST bakery in Pittsburgh, PA! April's cookies and cupcakes are out of this world! I don't usually like frosting but I can't get enough of hers! I can't wait to renew vows with my husband so I can have Vanilla Pastry Studio bake our wedding anniversary cake!

Never have I everrrrr had a cupcake so good. I work at Hand and Stone a couple doors down and let’s just say I’m in here every week….The goodies aren’t just pretty to look at but to eat is out of this world! From the light whipped icing that you could keep eating to the cake itself….just amazing. Usually I wipe off icing and can only eat one piece of cake but not with the Sugar Fairy’s goodies! I could easily eat 3-4 cupcakes. If you are looking for a bakery look no further! My favorite bakery in Pittsburgh!

Do not do business with Vanilla Pastry Studio! I called last Friday to order a cake for this Saturday pickup for my daughter’s 9th bday party. The owner answered when I called and asked me to email her some pics of ideas for decorating the cake and to call her once I did to let her know because sometimes her emails get sent to her spam account. Ok no problem I can do that. I email her right away but to give her time I waited until the next day last Saturday to follow up with her. When I called she stated she got my email however she was just opening her shop up and advised that she would respond to my email later with confirmation. I did not hear back from her so AGAIN i gave her time to respond. Fast forward to last Monday still no confirmation email so I call the shop and leave a GM I also emailed her again asking for a confirmation before it’s too late and I won’t be able to order a cake with any other bakery because most want a weeks notice for specialty cakes. Here we are now Wednesday and not a phone call or confirmation email from the owner! Good thing I followed my gut and called another bakery yesterday and ordered my daughters bday cake otherwise had I waited for the owner of Vanilla Pastry’s Studio my daughters would not of had a bday cake for her birthday party! Shame on you Vanilla Pastry’s. Very bad customer service especially for a first time customer! Please feel free to share so this does not happen to anyone else!!!

This pastry shop is not what it used to be. The once incomparable cupcakes are now average and seem a lot smaller. I will not be going back.
I ordered a cake for my nephew’s med school graduation. I’m not from Pittsburgh and knew nothing about bakeries in the area but this one had good reviews. They were very helpful and accommodating. The cake was yummy and not outrageously priced either. I would recommend them.
