I visit the city on occasion and have always walked by this place but never been able to stop. Well today I was finally able to and I was excited. I do love me a Waffle. I was greeted by a very friendly girl who was all smiles. I was shown to my table ( they werent very busy). and was told my server who we will just call T since thats the first letter of his name would be over shortly. When T came over I was still looking at the menu and he put down my water and said " Are you ready yet?" in a tone that seemed like he was annoyed that he had to actually do something. Now I worked in food service at this age ( early mid 20's) and thought ok maybe he is just quiet or is having a rough morning. I told him no and he walked away and came back about 5 min later. No problem there. He proceeded to say. "What did you want?" I said I would like the Sausage gravy waffle. " Whole or half" Half please and then he just walked away. Apparently ordering something other than water to drink wasnt an option. I now felt like I don't thing this kid is having a bad day I think he would rather be literally anywhere but here. From what I could tell he only had one other table and a Female server brought that table their food. No big deal I know servers help each other out. A few moments later she brought out another plate of food and tried to take it to the other table T had. It seems that he had put down the wrong table number. I said it was mine and she put the plate down and walked away again not happy. While i was eating this server on several occasions was yelling for T and talking loudly about how bad a server he was. At one point T was going to go through the wrong door and she yelled at him from across the room. He looked at her and gave her what i would call a F you face and walked through the door anyway. She continued to complain in high volume about how bad a server he was. Then when he finally reappeared after going through the wrong door she told him that is she was going to have to keep doing his work she was keeping his tips. I thought to myself well i do understand your frustration if your gonna keep his tips you might wanna treat his guests better instead of taking out your frustrations on them. Finally after I finished my food which I will say was AMAZING! T came over and said "Want the check". I said yes and when he brought it over i just gave him my card so I could get the hell out of there. Its sad cause when the female server wasnt Yelling at T it was a pleasant atmosphere (hence only 3 stars there) I paid my bill. and left. On the way out the same nice and happy girl that greated me on the way in was just as lovely on the way out. Would I eat here again. Maybe. But i feel like this whole T being a bad server thing could of been handled much better and in a way that wasn't out in the dinning area for all the guests to hear.

Today I ordered the French toast with vanilla syrup and it was delicious my server Amber was top notch everything was hot and delivered to me quickly I usually visit every Saturday morning and you can’t. Go wrong with anything on the menu and the servers are always the best

Sounded wonderful. Food was good, but cold. Our server very inattentive. But another server would see we were looking around and would get us things. Syrup, butter, silverware, coffee refills. The place was very busy. Maybe our server was new. The host was so polite and handled the large waiting line very professionally and efficiently.

We watched Wonka the night before and man did this hit the spot! When on friday, so got a $10 funky monkey friday. Boyfriend got a fosters, and honestly I stole some of his vanilla icecream bc it was chocolate overload. Some kind of godly peanut butterfluff. I write this specifically for the signature latte though. Gotta stir it or the syrups settles at the bottom.

Overall , very good. One minor hiccup was that my girlfriend has a peanut allergies and she informed the server about it and specifically ask for nut in her food. It did came to our table with peanut butter. The server was kind enough to send it back and rectify the error. Overall, very good service and good.

Stopped in for breakfast because I was staying at a nearby hotel and the menu looked appealing (although a bit expensive for breakfast food). I was immediately disappointed when I was served a lukewarm coffee that was old and had an oily film on top of the coffee along with a burnt taste. I suffered my way through that first cup hoping the second cup would be better, but it was the exact same. There was not a waitress that was going around offering top offs or warm ups on coffee, either. The food I was served was also lukewarm and underwhelming to say the least. The dish was marketed as one that "would stick to your ribs", so I ordered the half portion and ate it in about 2 mins. It was not a lot of food at all and I was hungry again about an hour or so after I left. Service was neither good nor terrible. It was a weekend morning and everyone was busy so I can understand not getting top-notch service. One thing that did particularly bother me is the cleanliness of the restaurant. I had to swat multiple fruit flies, my shoes stuck to the floor, and the bathroom was neglected. I just generally got the vibe that this place isn't well taken care of. I won't be back.

Michelle L. was an amazing waitress today. This was our first time to the downtown location. She was so attentive, kind and helpful with our entire order. It was perfect! They are lucky to have such a wonderful person like her at such a fabulous breakfast restaurant. You won’t be disappointed when you have breakfast here.

I ordered take out. I ordered chicken and waffles, a side of strawberries and 2 sunny side up eggs. When I came in. The waiters at the restaurant were rude. Said everything was there when I tried to look in. So I left for home. Came home and was missing the chicken and the eggs. My waffles had hair on them and my strawberries were hot and disgusting. Won't come here again.
A must-go in Pittsburgh! The food, service, and atmosphere are all incredible.

Presentation was lacking on the Southern Waffles as evidenced by an explosion of sour cream posing as an artistic smear but the tastes were all together popping. Hash browns were a delightful side with a mix of red and sweet potatoes. Well done Waffles, Inc. surprisingly some of the best food we had in an underwhelming Pittsburgh food scene.
