Zano's Pub House is a dive bar in the The Run, traditionally a Slovak steel worker neighborhood between Greenfield, Hazelwood, and Schenely Park. This location has been a bar under several different names for nearly 100 years. The current ownership, bar and kitchen staff, and local pool team elevate this historic location into a Pittsburgh gem, almost making Dive Bar an unfitting name.
It is difficult to choose the strongest aspect of this bar, between the way-better-than-it-should-be full menu of food, the affordable prices, the know-your-name service, and the Run rat regulars who know each other across multiple generations. Anyone who comes here can consider themselves lucky, but be wary of trying to change the culture of a neighborhood that has resisted changing what it is - quite possibly more so than any other Pittsburgh neighborhood.

Absolutely delicious food. Highly recommend the candy pepper wings and the Run Burger. Friendly service. Definitely going to be back! And I know some reviews complained about smoking but it is now NO SMOKING just FYI

Wife and I visited this place by accident for first time. Got tired of South Side Chaos. Everyone made us fill like we where regular patrons, food was good and atmosphere was your typical neighborhood bar that make a you want to return on a regular bases. Can’t wait to visit again, soon. And a shout out to Eric who was flinging drinks at a non stop pace.

ZANOS is a new find for us … used to frequent BIG JIMS but unfortunately, they close early. Someone told us about ZANOS and we gave it a try. Similar atmosphere to JIms … food is simple bar fare and very good. Prices are very reasonable ( cash only ) . Highly recommend!

I went to the Run to explore and found this great bar. I live in California and was visiting my sister. The bartender Eric was beyond awesome and the patrons were incredibly welcoming, fun, and interesting. I had a great time hanging out there. Great people in Pittsburgh. These guys continued to show me how great the people in this city. Great conversations, just good shit. I look forward to coming back! I wish I had been able to go back a 2nd time. The run Burger is the best burger I’ve ever had. My go to spot for burgers. Good prices good staff. Always get the fresh fries!!!! Don’t judge a book by its cover.
