Food is delicious, staff was friendly and had great recommendations for new dishes to try. That said I primarily order food for pick up and delivery. Quite often I am craving this delicious flavorful mouth watering food but there is no one to answer the phone despite calling during their posted hours. I would be a more regular customer if I could reliably order from here.

The food in this place is top tier! This is for sure a hidden gem! As mentioned in other peoples reviews, the portions are large, the flavor so rich, this is our new go to spot, friendly staff, atmosphere was awesome !

I just home from my first dining experience here and let me tell you, I could not stop talking about how good the food was on the drive back! Learned about it from a coworker of mine who did a doordash order last week for his lunch at work. I saw him pull out his food (oxtail entree, a soul bowl and corn bread). It all looked and smelled SO good! I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and absolutely love Jamaican cuisine. So I asked him where he got it from. He pulled out the menu that the delivery came with and I yanked it out his hand! 😂 Read everything that on there and immediately knew where I was going next time I went out to eat. Showed the menu to my mom and she agreed, we're eating there! Lol Right on Main Street in Pittson so it was easy to get there. We opened the door and those delicious smells hit us! Walked thru the big dine-in area and went to the front counter. They had old school Beanie Man and others on the speakers playing and I kid you not, I was transported back to my childhood in Brooklyn when we'd have block parties and all those old hits would be playing. Even Mom felt it and loved it! We were originally going to order the Curry goat but it was in the process of being made so instead, we had the Oxtail entrees. I had mine with rice and peas, vegetables and sweet fried plantain. My mom got the same but she wanted the regular fried plantains (tostones), instead of the sweet ones. The wonderful owner was super accommodating and had no problem switching one for the other. I ordered a beef patty and coco bread to go, as well as a Soul Roll, in addition to our dine in meals. She took our order with all the changes and additions happily. We sat and waited maybe 15 minutes. Our food got to us and we dug in. First bite of our food and we KNEW we came to the right place! Everything was absolutely on point. Oxtail was so tender and wonderfully seasoned with just the right little kick to it. Steamed vegetables were well seasoned and cooked. Rice and peas were great. And the sweet plantains I ordered with my dish were the perfect compliment to the savory flavors of everything. My mom's dish was just as awesome, and her regular fried plantains (tostones) were big and the exact way we love and make them ourselves (we're Puertorrican lol). The owner checked on us and made sure we were good. She brought over a complimentary corn bread that was still steaming as we ate it! Needless to say, we lost ourselves in the food, the music and the awesome service. She had my to go order ready as soon as we were done eating and even gave us a small curry goat serving to take with us, since it had just finished cooking as we were leaving. Her and her husband (the chef) truly make an awesome team and I will DEFINITELY be coming back here over and over, as well as ordering for lunch at work like my coworker did! 😂 Do yourself a favor, and give yourself this wonderful dining experience. You won't regret it, trust me. And tell your friends too! I'm telling mine! 😂
