This place is hands down amazing! Food is always made fresh to order, and if you’re running late they keep it hot for you so it’s perfect when you get home. The flavors are incredible — especially the Fried Whiting. Whether you grab it as a platter with two sides or just on white bread for a quick bite, it never disappoints.
I go twice a month (once every paycheck 😂) and have even worked extra shifts just to treat myself here. That’s how good it is! Do yourself a favor and check them out ASAP — you won’t regret it.

OMG!!! For my birthday my kids treated me to dinner at Food from the Soul. I had the fried fish platter, with mac and cheese and cabbage. My son had fried wings and the mac and cheese. My daughter had the oxtail platter with candied yams and mac and cheese. Everything was absolutely mouth watering. Each takeout container had to weigh 5 pounds. And since this was our first time eating here we received a wonderful surprise-dessert on the house…banana pudding which was amazing! My only regret is that I didn’t try this place sooner 😂. Will definitely be back. Thank you, Food from the Soul, for making my birthday meal super memorable 💕

Over priced and the jerk chicken was fried to hard with little jerk taste. Yams had no nutmeg or cinnamon just white sugar.. Won't go back!

There are no tables to eat in but that doesn't stop these ladies from creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere while you wait for your food, which is made to order. We had the pork chops and chicken with cornbread, mac and cheese, yams, and rice. Everything was incredible, including the homemade banana pudding we had for dessert.

Spent $40 on fried fish and wing combo. The worst mac and cheese and fried chicken. The were no season on that chicken and the collard greens were watered down. Asked for jerk sauce but they apparently did not have any. Charged $1.50 for packaged tartar sauce which is crazy. Food is too expensive to have a bland taste. The only thing that was good was the whiting fish. I purchased food based on the 4.8 reviews. I will not be coming back unfortunately.

First, but definitely not my last time visiting the restaurant! I had the fish sandwich, Oxtails, Rice and peas, Mac and cheese, and Yams, as well as another plate with Turkey Wings, Mac and cheese, and Yams! Everything was Fresh, Hot, and Flavorful!
