“OMG!!! For my birthday my kids treated me to dinner at Food from the Soul. I had the fried fish platter, with mac and cheese and cabbage. My son had fried wings and the mac and cheese. My daughter had the oxtail platter with candied yams and mac and cheese. Everything was absolutely mouth watering. Each takeout container had to weigh 5 pounds. And since this was our first time eating here we received a wonderful surprise-dessert on the house…banana pudding which was amazing! My only regret is that I didn’t try this place sooner 😂. Will definitely be back. Thank you, Food from the Soul, for making my birthday meal super memorable 💕”

“We love Gatsby's and definitely recommend! The food is delicious and our absolute favorite, hands down, is the SoulJoel Burger. It's not your ordinary burger and I believe they said it was made with 3 different meats. So juicy and just the best burger I have ever had in my opinion. See for yourself and I am sure you will agree! They also offer games to play at your table for some extra fun for kids and adults. Prices are reasonable too. It's now one of our favorite spots! If you haven't been, check it out!”

“Great food and absolutely great service. So friendly and attentive. We WILL be back! Party of 6. Apps were very good and included the raw oysters; oyster app and coconut shrimp. Dinners included Blackened Salmon; Salmon Tacos; Burger and special of the day - Barbecue Ribs. They were complimented with fresh veggies that were really different, fresh and yum. Bought a birthday cake. A little expensive but my, it was spectacular! We will be back”

“Had recently gone there for my birthday and it was insanely busy we waited for quite a bit but only because people were having such a good time they wouldn't leave even after they were done their meal the manager actually came out to us and apologized for the long way and did everything he could to make it right which was very much appreciated and we had an absolute fantastic time the food was wonderful and we would love to get back there again the waitress was amazing she was on top of everything with our orders our drinks and everything a real top-notch place to go.”

“Very disappointing . the butter wasn't real butter for my wife's twin lovers tails. Their were tasteless and tough. I had the shrimp and salmon and lobster combo. Well it had the same taste because of the sauce I think. The total bill with the tip was $102.00 dollars. Not quite the experience we were looking for on new years eve.”

“We really enjoyed it here. It’s a place we have maybe passed 1000 times and just never stopped in. We are changing that now. The food was amazing. I had the roast beef sandwich and it was amazing! Highly recommend it!

The waitress was good but could tell she was busy and distracted a little.
I like how this place has a bar and restaurant side. So you can bring kids in and sit down and enjoy eating here or could go sit at the bar on the other side.

If it weren’t for the fact that I had to go in to pick up the food (and all most picked up a creeper who wanted to walk me out to my car after talking to me too much while I waited, I was early) I would have given 5 stars. “I dont think we'll ever stop coming here. We love the atmosphere- quiet, relaxing, with dim lighting. The staff is so nice. I think one time they were behind due to staffing but they were back and forth as quick as they could doing their best. The food is so good! The clear soup or the gyoza soup are the perfect soups when you're feeling sick. When we do hibachi it is always a good time. I've brought family (the kids are always asking to go), friends, and coworkers on many occasions and we always have lots of laughs and the food is phenomenal. My favorite is the filet mignon hibachi. All around great and our favorite Friday night spot.”

“My daughter suggested we try this place. She loves their Jamaican patties and smoothies. We got passion fruit and coconut smoothie bowls, and a jumbo Matcha smoothie. Everything came out quickly, smoothies/bowls were delicious, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend you give Smoothie Q a try! We will definitely come back.”

“Don’t let the area of this establishment fool you. The food here is AMAZING and AUTHENTIC. I got one pork and one stewed chicken with rice/beans. I have tried the beef/rice before and it was also delicious. Very tender meats and juicy!!!! And I could eat the rice and beans all day! Oh and the pastelillos were so good too!

“I visit this location every day, either before or after work, to sit down, enjoy a coffee, and take a little time to relax. I’ve always had wonderful experiences here, and I’ve consistently received great service from everyone, including Sarah.

In all the time I’ve been coming here, I’ve never witnessed any of the staff being short, rude, or disrespectful to anyone. They are always welcoming, greet customers with a smile, and treat people with kindness and respect.

I did read the other review, and while I certainly can’t speak to someone else’s experience, I do think it’s important to remember that we all have difficult days, and sometimes interactions can be perceived differently depending on what someone may already be going through. I see Sarah nearly every day, and based on my experiences with her, it’s genuinely hard for me to believe that she (or any of the other staff) would intentionally treat someone poorly. Sarah has always been kind, pleasant, and respectful in every interaction I’ve witnessed.

Everyone deserves grace, both customers and employees. I’ve personally had nothing but positive experiences at this location, and I appreciate the staff and the welcoming atmosphere they create every day.”

“This is my new go to Chinese food restaurant. I was craving Chinese food late at night and 30 minutes before they closed, I ordered general tsos delivery. They took less than 30 minutes to deliver my food and when it arrived, it was steaming hot and absolutely delicious. It was everything I could’ve wanted in the moment. They were not too expensive at all, and the quality of the food was unmatched. I would 100% order from this restaurant again.”
