I had a Philly Beef sandwich piled high with medium-rare roast beef, sharp provolone and a long hot. A very good sandwich. It was accompanied by a tiny amount of slaw in a lidded, plastic container and a pickle spear. Personally, I thought the amount of slaw was skimpy and incongruent with the size of the sandwich. Don’t know why the owner decided to do this. Slaw is pretty inexpensive.
Speaking of the owner, he’s quite a personality. Talks and kids with his customers. Makes Grumpy’s a very friendly place.

Tried sandwiches here for the first time. We ordered a Turkey BLT and Corned Beef Special. Both sandwiches were absolutely delicious. These were not deli sliced meat, they were large generous hunks of hot meat piled high. This place is top notch. If you want a mouthwatering gourmet sandwich, you must try Grumpy’s! He will accommodate any adjustments you want to the sandwiches on the menu. We were very happy that we stopped by and will definitely return.

Don’t let the name fool you…The owner is probably one of coolest people I’ve ever met. After 15 years in business, customer interaction is an art form that he’s mastered. As for the food…I can’t remember the last time food made me feel like my worries were gone. The food is cooked with love and it shows. The service is fantastic. I don’t think I actually waited for anything. I really cannot recommend this place enough. If you haven’t tried Grumpy’s yet…please do not sleep on it any longer. I know I’ll be back with some frequency!
