I have been here multiple times and everytime it is fantastic! I do not feel pressured or that it is stuffy. The food is always a 10/10. What I love most is his food has flavor. A big thing a lot of restaurants miss. He knows I will be back again!!

We dined here this evening at the recommendation of friends and it was truly a pleasure. The menu was small so every item was prepared perfectly. It does remind one of Europe where you are not rushed in any way and it was a perfect combination of great food, friends, service, and ambience. Thank you Henry’s Cafe for a wonderful evening.

My husband and I read all of the reviews and made reservations to have dinner at the restaurant on a Friday evening at 6:30 pm. One thing to note is there is limited seating, maybe 20 people, and when we went, there were 15 people all arriving around 6:30. What started off well turned out to be an evening of waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting. We waited until after 8 pm to get our entrees, and mine sucked. There was a very good appetizer served by the chef of shaved mozzarella cheese with tomatoes with a side of bread, however, the bread was hard and burnt. Since this restaurant is advertised as French inspired in a European setting, having some olive oil and fresh herbs would have been great. Alas, there was none of that. After this appetizer, we were served our appetizers; I had a salad with bacon and an apple cider vinaigrette and my husband had clam chowder. My salad was huge but tasted mostly like vinegar and I only ate half of it as it was missing something. My husband’s chowder was excellent. Then we waited, and waited, and waited for our entrees. It was clear why we were not receiving the entrees; the chef was preparing all of the appetizers for each table, one at a time. Since we were the second group of patrons, we needed to wait until the next 3 tables of patrons were served appetizers. This turned into 75 minutes of nothing. Although this works at a Gordon Ramsey restaurant it did not work here as there are no other cooks, there is a lone chef. When the entrees arrived, it was after 8 pm, I was hungry and could not wait to eat. Let me say that while we waited 75 minutes we were offered NOTHING to eat but we got plenty of water. I ordered a steak, medium rare that was supposed to come with mushrooms, onions and a red wine sauce and accompanied by couscous and vegetables. The steak was not cooked evenly; rare on one side and sort of medium rare on the other. There were 3 pieces of mushrooms, I saw no onions, and the red wine sauce lacked flavor except for pepper, loads of pepper. If there was a tablespoon of couscous I would be surprised. The vegetables were awful and had the same vinegar taste as the salad dressing. My husband had the pasta special with crab which he said was very good. When the waiter came to collect our plates he asked how the food was. I told him my steak was not cooked to my perfection, there was a lack of flavor and at $54, the most expensive item on the menu, I was expecting excellence, which I did not get. We asked for the check and was not interested in dessert. We were not charged for the steak which was great but the dining experience did not match what we read in reviews. Overall, the restaurant is over rated and food is over priced. I experienced no joy from the dining adventure and will spend my money elsewhere. When we left the restaurant I was still hungry so we had dessert when we got home, affogato, a truly European dessert, and not on the menu at Henry’s. And, to make the evening even better, there was a table of 4 older people near us and one of them decided to do FaceTime with one of their children during dinner. Because the restaurant is ‘snug’ we heard the entire conversation and the guy was just about yelling into the phone. The call was not stopped until I motioned to the table to cut the call off as it was disturbing others in the restaurant. The waiter did not stop the call which was odd because it was disturbing. At the end of their meal we saw why their Face Time call was not stopped, they were friends with the chef. Don’t be fooled by the reviews, this is NOT French inspired food, we have been to France and this is not even close. The interior design is bizarre, tables are close together, and it was very cold inside the restaurant. One last item, the restaurant only takes cash or checks, and yes, I saw someone writing a check for this meal. No debit cards. Parking in the lot across the street is also pain, it’s Mobile Pay or a Pay Station, which was not working.

Gourmet food in a low key atmosphere. Frank is an artist and loves what he does.

Henry's is a fantastic dining experience! You will spend the evening there and expect about 3-4 hours for dinner. Preorder the antipasto platter, bring some good friends, BYOB and prepare to spend an enjoyable un-rushed evening. If you are in a hurry, this is not the place for you. Frank's specialty is fresh fish but there is always a meat option. The mussels are great appetizers and we also enjoy his escargot. We were there over the weekend and our group had the halibut, tilefish, and sea bream. Each dish was excellently prepared and you can see Frank cooking your meal in the kitchen. Service is awesome and the place has a relaxed cool vibe. We highly recommend Henry's if you are looking for an evening out with friends. Don't be in a hurry and enjoy your company. You won't find better cooked fish specials anywhere. It is BYOB and they take cash or check.

Grab your favorite bottle of wine or 2 and sit back and relax for a nice dinner experience. I say experience because you aren’t in and out in an hour. They give you time and space and everything is made to order. We’ve been there 3 times in the past 4 months and it’s 100% worth every dime. The food is excellent- speciality is fish and we are fish lovers. The mussels as an appetizer is fabulous. It’s a must go and dine! Enjoy.

Every time we visit my Mom, it’s a must to enjoy dinner at Henry’s! Frank, you NEVER disappoint! Freshest and tastiest mussels around! LOVED tonight’s scallop, and halibut specials. DELICIOUS! See you in October.

We had such a fantastic date night. Everything was amazing from the atmosphere to the service and especially the food! This is a hidden gem that anyone who enters should be lucky to have experienced! ❤️ Ps: order the spicy mussels, so good!
