Went for the porter and ended up with it and: sour dough, fig, babka and came home and wow. Definitely be back looking forward to trying more. The gentleman that waited on us was very nice and considerate of our questions. Please keep up the good work.

What an absolute gem in Pottsville. We got a delicious sourdough boule, a blueberry danish, steak &eggs with some pepper popcorn popped in bacon grease. Everything was just outstanding. Cash only operation so be prepared. Highly recommended!

Just what I've been looking for. Amazing food, atmosphere, and staff. We went for the French toast bar in Pottsville. My partner ended up getting an off menu item instead because it sounded so good when it was recommended. Definitely lived up to the expectations. Both of our plates were clean at the end of the meal. The coffee was rich and they offered quite a few luxury teas. We went home with some complementary snacks for the table and two loaves of bread. We couldn't resist. I grew up around many fresh bread bakeries, and lived overseas for a few years. This place makes the homesickness go away just a bit. If you are looking for a regular bakery for breads in the Pottsville area, this is the best choice. I'm definitely making it ours.

This is a bakery unlike any We've seen in the area. My husband and I stopped in for a sweet treat. We were delighted when the gentleman took the time to describe all of their wonderful fresh baked breads, pretzels, and sweets. We intend to go back and try dvery single baked item they offer. We purchased a chocolate croissant and another treat made with the same type of dough and some type of strawberry filling that was delectable! I have NEVER tasted a croissant as flaky, buttery and delicious. This is not an ordinary bakery. You need to stop in for yourself to fully appreciate the level of expertise, quality ingredients, and love that clearly goes into everything they make.

No where to leave a review for the Hershey location but it’s disappointing. There’s barely anything there worth buying compared to the Pottsville location. They post the Hershey location like it has all the things this location has but it doesn’t. Overpriced loaves of bread and like 6 bagels each day they’re open and that’s about it. this location is pretty deceiving considering there’s not much to pick from like the Facebook photos show.

Got an olive rosemary loaf from their newly opened Hershey loca and it was a great surprise, beyond expectations for sure. It was a true artesan loaf with great crust and flavorfulllll tooth inside. I'm so excited to try more of their creations. Great breads from really nice people.

My favorite place to go for fresh bread and their pastries are amazing! Not overpriced for their goods and the customer service is good. Keep in mind if you go there that they’re cash-only, but there’s a few ATM’s around if you forget.

Stopped by this place with my fiancé on a morning stroll and mannnnnnn am I so glad we found this place! We decided to sit down and have breakfast. The shop is small and quaint. The front counter boasts freshly made baked goods. My fiancé had the breakfast skillet- it was pretty good but the eggs were slightly runny. Still had that clear film on it but no big deal. They serve you a large portion of pressed coffee accompanied by a random assortment of pastries/bread/bagel while you wait for your food. They also have a french toast bar- didn't try it but would like to. Anyways the man at the counter was wonderful and seems very passionate and proud in what they do- as he should be! We left with a cup of fresh squeezed orange juice, an everything bagel, a mini caramel cheesecake, and lemon meringue pie! Kudos to this local business. We will definitely be back!

Upon entering, you are taken back in time by the decor. Very limited seating. Currently, only Saturday breakfast is available. Staff is very friendly, and attentive. Wife ordered the French toast bar, I ordered the breakfast skillet. Huge cup of coffee for both of us. French toast was excellent, breakfast skillet was equally as good. Their baked goods are very good, grabbed a couple cookies when checking out. Will be back for sure !!!!

Lost a little faith because the price was $1 more then said on website. The bagels were amazing (especially the chili cheddar). Everyone was really nice.

I ordered pastry trays for my wedding day for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to eat while getting ready and they were a huge hit! Everything tasted amazing & we got so many pastries for a very reasonable price! I loved the variety we got and that everything was cut into pieces for people to pick at throughout the day. Thank you Bake Shop VI!
