“At first glance, this place looks to be another dive bar. However, we were surprised! The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. There is a lot of seating either at tables or at the bar area. They do karaoke (but not every night) and trivia tuesdays! We participated in the trivia and it was very fun, especially with the others at the bar. We ordered chips and salsa which were yummy. However, I highly recommend the Philly cheesesteak. It was amazing! They are also HUGE. The portions are really good and you can take the rest home for leftovers. The drinks were also delicious and they had a seasonal alcoholic drink menu which was cool to see. Overall, we highly recommend and would be back here!“

“First time at the Ale House and we were really happy we went! Great bartenders/waitstaff, delicious portions of Fish & Chips and Roast Beef Sandwich w/ skinny fries, sadly we didn't save room for dessert. Definitely a sports bar vibe w/ 8 big screen TVs in the bar area. Did not get a look at the dining room but it seems to be a good size.

“We’ve been coming to the original Brick & Brew in Havertown since before the other locations even existed, and it still holds a special place in our hearts. It was our very first introduction to a gastropub several years ago—and after that first visit, we never looked back.
What keeps us coming back week after week is their ever-changing menu. They’re constantly coming up with new dishes, and they’ve never disappointed us. The creativity in the kitchen is incredible, and somehow they manage to balance bold flavors with perfect execution every single time.
Their award-winning whiskey sour deserves all the praise—it’s seriously one of the best cocktails we’ve ever had. Whether you’re going for a drink or a full meal, the food and the service are consistently top-notch. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do.
Brick & Brew isn’t just a place to eat—it’s an experience. Amazing food, outstanding drinks, and great people. Havertown’s original location will always be our favorite.“

“I ordered lunch for my family, for take out. One item was loaded potato puffs. They came with a very small drizzle of sour cream and a few small pieces of bacon. most were dry and plain. Very frustrating as this was my husbands only food he ordered and will be eating 😔“

“We just love our new family restaurant! We get treated like family everytime we go!!!! The atmosphere is so cozy and the staff is exceptional. And let's talk about the food - it's absolutely to die for! The portions during happy hour are perfect and the prices are so reasonable.
But the best part? Let me introduce you to DAVID! He's the star of the show - always attentive, funny, and he makes drinks like a true master! Whenever I go, I insist on being seated with David.
They made our anniversary so special and they truly care about their guests' experience. We feel so lucky to have this gem in the neighborhood. I'd travel far and wide for this level of excellence!
Oh, and I can't forget to mention my favorites: The Good Good Things drink, the Buffalo wings during happy hour, and the amazing cheesesteak! And my kids absolutely love the huge, deep dish, extra cheesy pizza.
We're off to our reservation with David - can't wait! If you go, make sure to say hi to him and tell him Mink sent you!
Almost forgot the fresh house made potato chips!!!! So so so good!!! Don't skip them!

“I really love this place! It was my first time going. The host and server(s) were so very attentive and accommodating. The vibe was a cute little neighborhood pub, which was amazing. “We found this gem of a place by accident. Walking near our Airbnb while on a trip down from Canada to see our Flyers play. This is a local bar/restaurant but we were welcomed in and had a great time. Super friendly staff, service was fantastic. It was a great place to hangout. We will 100% add this place to our favourites and return when we are back down again for a game. We came mostly for drinks but one guy had their wings and said they were excellent.“

Bills fans will certainly remember the latter. This was a pretty good afternoon of football, and Cavanaugh’s deserves some credit for it.“
