Nice little tavern in the back and restaurant in front. We were in town siteseeing so stopped for a cold drink and finger food snack. Beer was cold and our fries were hot and fresh. Friendly atmosphere and good service.

Working in the area and stopped in for lunch. Had the special meatloaf sandwich with a side of mushrooms. Solid meal enjoyed.

There is a place in Punxsutawney, Rumor has it that you can get the BEST wings in town. Not to exaggerate but these aren't wing dings like other local restaurants, these are big and juicy. Top them with your choice of wet or dry rub and for a good price you'll agree it's not just a Rumor.
This family owned, family run business opens for breakfast at 8am. It has split seating so you can go to the bar or to the dining area. It's bathrooms are clean and we'll kept. The owner and staff are friendly but stay busy. And when I say family run, I mean even the owners daughters pitch in to help.
There are two entrances, during the winter the entrance closest to the parking is closed except for elderly and handicapped due to the owners looking out for customers because of cold air as patrons come and go. So the main entrance is on the side of the business.
Now I haven't had everything on the menu so let's talk portions. The appetizers are a nice size for a small price. The funnel cake fries are good, lol. Keeping in mind it's also a bar I prefer zucchini strips over fries but the breaded green beans are yummy.
The only sandwich I had was a great fish sandwich although size was lacking the taste did make up for it. I also always have a thirst so the bottled beverage to me is a negative but the fresh tea is bottomless. As a restaurantor there's no money to be made on bottled sodas so that's got me baffled.
Lastly, for some reason they have no road signage, I actually drove past this location over a dozen times and even pasted it up using Google maps. But if you want to treat yourself to good homemade food I do recommend RUMORS.
Parking: There is also a gravel lot in the back if the front parking lot is full
Kid-friendliness: They have several items to chose from on the menu specifically for children
Wheelchair accessibility: The business is all one level easy access no ramps large entrance doors
Friendly bar and restaurant with nice workers and good prices.
