Best rib eye cheese steak I’ve ever had anywhere!

Such a fabulous market with many specialty items and a really nice gluten free section. The gluten free pasta far exceeds the brands sold at larger grocery stores. Now onto the main event…the cheesesteak!! Simply delicious…the ribeye was seasoned perfectly and the ratio of onions and Cooper sharp was spot on. All of that deliciousness was on a fantastic seeded roll. Being a resident of Bethlehem, I can’t wait for Mercatino Italiano to open its shop here. Hands down, it will be the BEST cheesesteak in the Lehigh Valley.

Lots of variety, ribeye cheese steak is a much, the 10in sandwich will definitely leave you in a food coma. And if you're daring, their selection of sweets and beverages is amazing. Staff is very friendly and service is quick. I try to come here at least once a week when I work on site

Excellent sandwiches! Extensive menu with a top-notch staff preparing orders and offering insights (when requested) on their made-to-order and prepared items. The market portion of this business is well stocked and offers a healthy array of items.

Meat the SEXY SANDWICHES OF PENNSYLVANIA The PORCHETTA MUFFULETTA - fresh mozz, Porchetta, mortedella, roasted peppers, cherry peppers, and olives SPICY MEATBALL - pork/beef meatballs, broccoli rabe, spicy aioli, parmesan ROASTED ITALIAN BEEF - tender pulled beef, broccoli rabe, sharp provolone .... All on a sesame semolina roll ! I've reviewed this joint when it was formally called Giacomo's but now changed it's name to Mercatino Italiano Quakertown ( kind of has the PRINCE 's "ARTIST FORMALLY KNOWN AS PRINCE" catchiness to it) This joint is a shining beacon of Sandwich perfection in terms of quality , size, and prices . First off, the roll is exceptional. Firm crusty exterior, nice "chew" , and soft insides . The seeded "Philly style" roll gives a strong Sandwich Hand grip with it's easy to hold little bumps, & the seeded part also gives blind people something to read while they eat. To my knowledge, this is the only Muffuletta in the LV , maybe Stravinos has them but I'm not too impressed with their Sandwiches. And without a doubt , this is the greatest meatball sub I have ever devoured in the state. Every bite of each Sandwich had the proper ratio of contents represented and it was packed to the Sandwich gills, but remained in tact to the last bite . Great perks of going here include the OIL & BALSAMIC self serve sample bar ... So you can lube up your Sandwich , as well as knock down a few oily shots . There's also FREE shots of espresso if you order any premise made desserts, which are freaking amazing. These bad boys were washed down with fancy Italian sodas and a side of TENTACLE SALAD. I knew it was gonna be a sexy sensational feast when I had muff, balls, n puss all at the same time on the table. Katrina Purdy n me went 2 days in a row and shared the meatball n muff Sandwiches . The very next day I tried the Italian roast beef for my lunch break. Extra bonus ... Pet Smart is next door so you can go look at kittens and hermit crabs afterwards . Adorable creatures are good for digestion. Keep that SANDWICH HAND STRONG #sandwichpresident

I wish I could say I enjoy coming to Giacomo's/Mercatino, but my latest experience confirmed that that may never happen. I've been here a few times over the years, and while their food is consistently, decently good, their staff mostly seem unfriendly and unapproachable. Today, I was in at 2 PM, so it wasn't busy at all, but nobody ever bothered to ask if I was being helped. I encountered/made eye contact with five different employees, and only one bothered to smile at me. Such a small gesture, but apparently beneath them? That said, the Truffle Mushroom Ribeye sandwich was tasty, and the Eggplant Parm was solid. The Ricotta Coffee Cake was a tad too sweet, which was good because you don't gobble it up in one sitting. As purveyors of deli/convenience food, i would give them 4 stars, but the terrible attitude that is pervasive among the staff knocks them back down to 3 stars.

I was just here at lunch to grab a jar of sauce. I decided to order a sandwich and check out the pastry case. Over $40.00 later... This place is positively wonderful in every way. I work in the area and will be here at least once a week until I retire. The selection is insane, the people are very friendly and helpful and my eggplant parm sandwich was the best I had ever had. FOUR slices stacked HIGH on a brioche bun with fresh mozzarella and tomato sauce, and a thin layer of pesto on the bottom bun. Wow, do yourself a favor and shop this Gem in Quakertown.

I went the Mercatino Sunday 3/3/24 and I honestly was beyond disappointed.. One of the items I purchased was the Giacomo Cutlet. The sandwhich was MISSING the Prosciutto which is what made me buy the sandwhich in the first place.. disappointing.. 2nd was the Mozzarella and tomato side.. not bad flavor but very dry and lacking oil. I called and even left a voicemail to see if they could somehow make up for the missing items and maybe my 2nd experience would be better but I have not heard from anyone.. as of now, I won’t be back and I won’t recommended to anyone I know..
