We had a baby shower for my daughter the Karlton Cafe. The Karlton is known for its great food, and they didn’t disappoint. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. The room was just right for a small party.

My fiancé held a baby shower there on 1/31. Paid $800 for a venue that was nothing more than a breezeway to apartments above the food / service was terrible. The owner did not appreciate my review. I did attend event and I was in room when Alisha called to discuss a possible resolution. Instead of taking her comments constructively you basically blew her off. Offering a cheap $75 food voucher to a “restaurant” that is over priced with terrible food. I take it insulting he challenge my attendance at function. As I WAS THERE AND FIND IT pathetic you say I was not just to get poor rating removed. You facility is subpar at best. By far the worst venue. Went to a baby shower on 1/31. “Room” event was held in was more of a breezeway, as delivery drivers and people who live in above building walked through. Who promotes this as a ROOM!!! It’s not a room it’s more of a walkway. Area was cold (given a space heater), food was wilted and soggy (made at least day earlier). Paid almost $150 gratuity for someone to drop off a pitcher of lemonade and leave, never to return. NEVER AGAIN !!!

My husband wanted to get breakfast for me today, Sunday morning. He ordered a smoked salmon omelet. There was no smoked salmon AT ALL when it was delivered & the omelet was basically burnt egg. Of course when you order delivery through Door Dash you get your refund through them. We called Karlton Cafe & they said sorry, you have to call Door Dash which we did but Door Dash didn't cook & burn the omelet, forget the smoked salmon in a smoked salmon omelet & prepare it for delivery. I didn't eat the omelet, only the bagel that came with it & the sweet gesture by my husband was ruined. I've eaten at Karlton Cafe before & it was ok but this was highly disappointing. Not to take responsibility & just say sorry, call Door Dash is unacceptable. Hence why I gave the service 2 stars. Please do better & pay attention when prepping an order for delivery.

What is Had: Creme Brulee latte French Onion Soup - 10/10 - prob 1 of the best FOS I've had. Steak and eggs - 10/10 - steak is cut into smaller pieces but they cook the whole thing really well, and it has alot of flavor

Best fried green tomatoes in the area! This was a great addition to the seasonal menu, and I greatly enjoyed it.
The service was friendly, the food is fresh, and the OJ was freshly squeezed 😋
If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered pancakes for takeout and they are completely burnt. I asked for chocolate chip pancakes and there’s barely any chocolate chips. 0/10 would not recommend

Wow!!! I just demolished a bacon panini from here. Everything was perfect and amazing from the bacon, avocado, sweet onions and sauce. Most importantly the sourdough bread was fantastic!!!

Stale bagel, 1 sausage link on breakfast sandwich. Weak amount of potatoes. $42 for 2 breakfast sandwiches, 2 homefries, and 2 drinks! That's nuts
this is my favorite place and i always recommend it to people when we're talking about restaurants.
