I had my wedding for 70 guests at the arts and events place in the cobblestone parlor and celestial salon this past weekend. We had plenty of room for the buffet and dancing. Jan and her staff were a pleasure to work with. Jan accommodated all of my requests and made sure everything was taken care of. The food was amazing and her prices are very reasonable. I would recommend any event at this venue. You definitely will not be disappointed.

My husband and I have been here a few times for lunch, just drinks and dinner. Always a pleasant experience. Never had a bad servicer or felt rushed or experience poor service. Food is good, portions are nice and prices aren’t bad either. We recommend it.

Delicious food and classic inn atmosphere. Mushroom soup and salmon flatbread were great! Cheesecake selection is amazing!

We went to McCools last night for dinner. I have to say it was terrible and cost us 200.00+ for 3 people. I ordered the queen cut prime rib medium rare. I dont know WHAT they gave me but it was NOT prime rib. It was about an inch thick and full of grizzle and some spots were well done and some rare. I understand prime rib has fat but this was chewy and grizzly. ( I regret not taking a photo to post) My son got sliders and they were hockey pucks and my husband got a crab cake sandwich that was more roll than crab cake, although he said the crab cake was tasty. We each had 2 ciders. HUGE disappointment. We could have gone to the Brick tavern for that price and gotten way better food and Im sorry we didnt. McCools was not even busy last night. It used to be one of our favorite places to go and sit outside but this was terrible and with prices out of control we wont be back.
Update..I called to try and talk to the owner BEFORE writing this review and was promised she would return my call and never got a call back. I guess thats that!

Hey nice relaxing atmosphere. We had our dog with us and they were very welcoming. They even have a doggie menu! Next time we are in Quakertown we will definitely stop by.

I spent five months working in Quakertown, PA, and on my days off, I’d go hunting for interesting places to eat. Having traveled solo for years, I’ve learned to savor the differences and discoveries that come with it.

One standout spot was a Colonial-era building dating back to the 1740s, with stone fireplaces, hand-hewn beams, and a sense of history radiating from every corner. It even played a role in the Fries Rebellion, where organizers launched a tax revolt from within its walls. Today, it’s a Colonial gastropub offering hearty pub fare alongside some upscale dinner options.

Every meal I had there was excellent—portions in Pennsylvania are no joke! Eventually, I took a few days to stay locally and brought my wife. Our dinner was just as good, but what she really enjoyed was watching me take in the place’s history through the eyes of a West Coast native.

We googled restaurants with outside seating that allow pets- we were so pleased. The food was delicious! I had the non filler jumbo lump crab cakes!!
Violet had her own menu to choose from. She picked grilled chicken and scrambled eggs with ice cream for dessert.

First time visit and on a Friday lunch. What a magnificent restaurant! The interior is as charming as the exterior is inviting.
It was not busy and Derrick, our server did his job well. Friendly, attentive yet not intrusive. The food was really delicious and presented as one wants with an upscale restaurant. Glad I visited this staple of Quakertown fine dining and will go again.
