Raven's Nest Bar and Grill

Great little place that is not far from many cities/towns. The smell of cheese steaks filled the place. There was a great classic rock band playing. Cash only.

I went there to see the band Gearbox.The band was great! The bartender Crystal was very friendly and very attentive. She was cooking and tending bar like a Rockstar. I had very yummy cheese steak.I will definitely be going back again soon!

We were a very large group and they only have one griddle so it took some time. But it was worth all the wait. We were out on a motorcycle ride and stopped in before the rain really came down so we weren’t in any rush. The food was great! The server was very apologetic about the wait but he was doing what he could and I thought they did a great job servicing our big group. I had the pork roll sandwich and it was delicious. I’d definitely stop back here again. I loved the home-y atmosphere almost as if you were at your grandfathers home bar.

They do not value their employees in any way possible. I’m my time working there I addressed many cleanliness concerns to Sandy herself and it was basically shrugged off. From dirty ice machines that are used daily(finding dirt frozen into the ice daily) to finding chunks of her hair in the prepped bags of frozen foods, it was disgusting and highly do not recommend eating or drinking at this establishment. We can also go into the pay, you are expected to tend bar as well as cook for under 5 dollars an hour. Eventually I ended up with the flu (tested and diagnosed by urgent care), and was fired for missing ONE day of work. They expected me to miss zero days of work ever. I always showed up on time or early and put my all into the bar/restaurant. The place has a lot of potential, the customers were wonderful as well, it just has the wrong owners at this point who no longer care. I tried to be understanding as the owner is in his 80s and is semi delusional, but you can only make excuses up for peoples’ behaviors for so long. I highly recommend staying away from this place as a patron as well as a potential employee.
