The Proper Brewing Company

It was a busy night but, we waited for an hour for our food to come. Our waitress never came over to check on us or offer an apology. We finally asked for our check because we were tired of waiting, then they brought our food. My friend spoke to the manager and, although I didn't hear what was said, it was not loud or disruptive. When we left, we were told to never return. That's not a problem because I had never intended to. As we walked out the door, the waitress and, I assume her boyfriend, verbally assaulted us and approached us with a threatening posture. Needless to say, I was not impressed with the entire experience.

Sat for over an hour for a burger and fries, beer was good, staff was not paying much attention to where we had been sitting in the front of the place.

If you’re going to shut your kitchen down early (especially on a SATURDAY), you need to reflect your hours to show that.

My boss in town had asked for a certain item he saw on your menu, and we couldn’t accommodate that because at 9:28 pm, your kitchen staff was long gone!

Can’t wait 20 minutes with zero acknowledgment or service. Hostess was very nice but the waitress in the bar area refused to look our way so we left

We had a baby shower at the Proper Brewing Company this past weekend in the palace room. It was the best experience I could have imagined. In the beginning, I met with with Kris to plan everything. She was super friendly, accommodating and very transparent. Throughout the planning process, she was available for all of my questions. The day of the shower, she was always present and was ready to answer all of our needs. The food was delicious, service was great and the venue was perfect. I would recommend this venue to anyone and would use them in the future. Thank you!!!

Love this places food and beer. Always a nice time. Switched it up and sat at the bar. Don’t sit at the bar unless you want to be entertained by sarcasm and multiple personalities ?

I’ve always loved the food and beer but the service on the past few visits has been poor. I understand being understaffed but the food and drinks all took way too long to come out. I hope it changes because I’d hate to not be a patron of this establishment

I've been to various restaurant/bars all over; California, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Florida, Louisiana, and even Mexico. This place has the best wings I've ever eaten from anywhere! The crab nachos are like a deconstructed crab rangoon and was delightful. The birria tacos were pretty and the jalapeño poppers okay. Absolutely will come back when we come back to Pennsylvania

Hands down the rudest bartender I have ever encountered in my life. His name is Colin (not like he introduced himself or spoke to us at all, I looked at the check to get his name). Came here with my boyfriend to sit at the bar and have a beer. We come here like once a month because we love the beer selection and the food, but this service was horrendous. We are both in the restaurant management industry so I really hate leaving bad reviews but I just need the owners to know how awful he treated us. He basically threw coasters at us when we came in and said “you eating?”. We said no and asked about the draft beers. He pointed at the board and I wanted to ask a couple questions about the IPAs but he was clearly not in the mood to talk. Then I asked for a water and he didn’t even acknowledge me, just put the water down. He did not speak at all, I asked for the check because we were not willing to stay any longer, he still said absolutely nothing to us and just placed the check down. I love this place’s food, we’ve never had bad service before, but if we see this dude working again we will not be staying. Very, very disappointed.

Had the pleasure of stopping by on a recent t road trip. It turned out it was trivia night. The staff was extremely friendly and despite it being a packed house was very quick and attentive. I got paired up with a regular who was great company. My burger was delicious the chips were great and everything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked delicious especially the cheesesteak. I would definitely go back and highly recommend the place.
