A truly unique atmosphere! Had a cigar & whiskey in the cigar lounge which was a really unique (speakeasy) like experience.Dining room was very comfortable. It’s an open concept but it’s not loud. Menus are tablets which can dial in allergies or certain profiles you’re looking for with food, wine, liquors & cigars. You can tell a lot of thought went into the little details. Which is impressive.Dinner- venison loin was cooked perfectly & everything that was on the plate tasted great. Sommelier provided great wine recommendations for courses. Server was outstanding. Can’t wait to go back!

The second time I've gone there, the food has gone down. I won't be going back...$200 for something that I could have gotten better at Lone Star.

Every sip of my cocktail and every bite of my food was better than the last. Service, food and drinks, and atmosphere were all worth the price.

Mary's Vine is one of the best restaurants in Pittsburgh. The food, drinks, and ambiance are out of this world. The speakeasy downstairs is so cool. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming. If you haven't been you are missing out. I can't say enough about how great this place is.

Arrived a few minutes before 6:00 for a 6:30 reservation on a Friday so we could have a drink at the bar. We were told the bar wasn't open. (On a Friday night at 6:00?!?) We asked if we could be seated. The answer was no and that it was a little early. The dining room was empty so it wasn't like the table wasn't ready. The hostess did tell us we could go to the downstairs cigar lounge. I do enjoy that area AFTER dinner as I don't want to smell like smoke prior to dinner. Since our option was the cigar lounge or sit in the vestibule for a half hour we went downstairs. There was no offer to come get us when they decided it was okay for us to sit at our table. The hostess was rude (had her back to us and wouldn't look at us when we walked in because apparently it is much too difficult to acknowledge us while on the phone. Maybe a class on multitasking and etiquette would be helpful?). All of this happened while the owner was standing right inside the door watching. It was apparent she didn't want to accommodate us either. We did have a nice dinner with friends once we came upstairs and were allowed to be seated. Some of the food was very good and some was okay. The server was pleasant. Normally when we dine there the owner will come to the table and talk to us. But as she could tell we were not impressed at all with the events leading up to dinner, she chose to ignore our table. All this being said, we've been there many times and have entertained both friends and customers - always having a great experience. The way the hostess and owner handled this situation has us leaning elsewhere - get your priorities straightened out, especially when you're not busy - make every experience count.

We have been to Mary's Vine three times, for brunch, for a wine pairing dinner, and for a wine education and dinner. The wine and the food were truly outstanding. And, the old church has been beautifully transformed. We will definitely be back for more.

One of the best restaurants in Pittsburgh for elegant dining. Atmosphere is spectacular, wine list is unparalleled, service is top notch and what you expect at this class of restaurant. I asked our server to recommend a reasonably priced bottle of wine and was so pleased that I took a picture of the label so I could get it again when I returned. Make a reservation and treat yourself to a spectacular dinner that you won't forget. Fine dining in Rankin? Youbetcha.

I have been to this restaurant 2x and I really struggled with how to rate my experiences. This is a BEAUTIFUL venue and it has a tremendous amount of potential as a restaurant. However they are plagued by inconsistencies across the menu and with their wait staff. We have tried the seafood manicotti (extremely salty), Chilean sea bass over lobster risotto (borderline on very salty), venison (needed salt), shrimp Alfredo (just ok), Caesar salad (delicious), PB&J dessert (wife was in love), pound cake creme anglaise (delicious but tastes like cornbread?), sweet buratta (amazing). Cocktails are well prepared but also very expensive for the size.(Drinks are larger downtown and similar in price). We have had experiences with two different servers and there were night and day differences between them. One seemed untrained in fine dining etiquette overall and she was very aloof (but polite). The other was masterful in her execution (inconsistency is a theme here). We have been to The Study on both of our visits. Great atmosphere, cigar and bourbon selection is awesome, and the bartender is very skilled at making cocktails. However she's stretched too thin with how many patrons she needs to cover, so it takes quite some time to get her attention. Overall, Mary's Vine could be amazing but execution (food consistency, drink pricing, staff training) is holding it back. I can't honestly recommend this place until these issues are corrected.Parking: Free valet parking

The space is amazing and worth at least one visit if you've never been there. At least a dozen people that had gone before me said the exact same thing and I had to see it for myself - the food is "so-so" and over priced especially since it is not top shelf good, but the cocktails are very good and the ambiance is amazing. The cigar bar was fantastic if you love cigars, but the service was QUITE slow and seemingly not very experienced. This place has enormous potential. We hope they can get the food fixed for sure, as we would come back.

This was our first visit to Mary's Vine for their Sunday lunch. We started with an Italian board of meats, cheeses, olives, etc., along with a rose wine flight. For my entree I chose the shrimp and polenta and it was my favorite all-time Mary's Vine dish! My husband chose the chicken and waffles and enjoyed that, as well. For dessert I chose the house made blueberry cheesecake and it was delicious and a very unique twist on cheesecake. If you're a “foodie” who likes to try new things, definitely check out Mary's Vine!

Mary's Vine is incredible. The staff was so knowledgeable and professional. The food was incredible. The space is unbelievably cool. Give yourself time either before or after dinner to have a drink downstairs. Very unique speakeasy experience.

The wine list is as interesting as it can be in state controlled PA. It is quite extensive and the servers are particularly knowledgeable. But, the food, which used to be good, is now excellent. The new chef actually cooks rather than throws ingredients together. Flavors are intense (which doesn't happen without extra care and processing) and menu is even more extensive and imaginative. A bit pricey but definitely worth it.
