Walking in we were greeted by Kenny the owner. We sat at bar and enjoyed our service there with a very knowledgeable and friendly barmaid. The food was excellent and it was a very pleasant experience.Parking: Very spacious parking lot in the back.

This place is an underrated gem for dining in the greater Reading area. I really don't understand why they aren't busier, but I'm happy to not have to wait for 1-2 hours at the chain restaurants in the area and to get superior food and service.

Quaint spot in Shillington. No wait and accommodated 8 easily. Candy apple martini to die for. Food is delish.

We just discovered 201 West a few months ago even though we've lived in the area for years. We have returned quite a few times since our first visit and can't say enough about the quality of the food or the friendliness of the staff. We've sampled everything from the filet mignon to the cheeseburger. Both were top notch. The sausage and bean soup is not to be missed. And the house cab is our go to wine choice. Its definitely a good choice for a great meal or just a quiet drink at the bar.

Just went there tonight and got chicken Chesapeake, it was delicious! Also got mushrooms stuffed with crab and it was also delicious! Service was fast and only complaint is some of the dishes were too expensive

The food was flavorless and unsatisfying. The seared ahi tuna was overcooked to almost medium well, while they stated they cooked it to rare. The bean and sausage soup was salty and lacked actual sausage. The chicken Marsala was made with rubbery chicken and served not is a marsala sauce... at best an onion gravy from a packet with with canned, not even cooked mushrooms. For the price I expected food at least prepared properly. Even the bang bang shrimp appetizer was sub par. The shrimp were overcooked and had a texture of undercooked octopus.

Food is good best selection of Bourbon Rye and Scotch I have ever seen.
We just had our wedding reception there and the filet was perfect. The service was awesome and the entire experience made a stressful day a lot more enjoyable. Kenny the owner is a perfectionist and made sure we could get in the day before the reception to set up our cake and decorate the tables. We got engaged at 201 west a year ago and I brought my son there for his 21st birthday. We look forward to returning again and again in the future.

This has become my family's new favorite place. We lost our family restaurant, Pauline's Soups, to the pandemic. Every dish we had, in our professional opinion, was spot on and delicious. Highly recommend!

Food was good and people were better. This place has never served a bad meal to me in 20 years.
