Very nice authentic Mexican restaurant. Simple decor with great menu and food. Good friendly service.

I've been eating at Alebrije's locations for at least 15 years. Food is pretty consistent. Changes have certainly occurred over the years that are less appealing than years ago. The location on state hill was neat and occasionally had live music. It seems like maybe the gusto has been washed away.

Good food. Friendly staff. Prices are still decent. Maybe a little higher than other similar restaurants. Support local businesses before they disappear.

I'm here more often then I admit to my wife. Like right now.

It's the little things you'll notice, clean, bright, great chips, rice is perfect not dry or mushy, then everything else. I cant list in this review.

The service was absolutely terrible. We ordered drinks we never received (after ordering them three times), one entree was cold, and I got the wrong order. The staff paid zero attention to us but clearly knew we were waiting. One staff member had a long beard was working in the kitchen and carrying food with zero protection of the dishes from the unruly beard.

It appeared the manager’s tables had drinks and food on time but we were completely ignored. It’s unfortunate as we live 3 miles away and go out often - we will never go back there again.

What amazing food! I started off with the Blackberry margarita and shrimp nachos. The shrimp were delicate and the toppings flavorful.
Next was the duck pastor street taco, and my oh my. Such juiciness without a ton of fat. The rice and beans were perfect.
The flan was creamy and juicy at sweet enough, while the chocolate cake was large and seemed homemade. It even came with ice cream!
Overall, and amazing first time and I will be going back.

I loved it! We went closer to closing time. It was cozy, warm. The food was excellent! I got enchiladas with chicken inside.

Alebrije is just simply too expensive for what they serve. When I spend $25 for fajitas, I expect perfectly cooked chicken, nice chunky steak strips and large shrimp. Instead, the chicken was overcooked and the steak was nearly invisible, with pieces too small and nearly burned they were so overcooked. The shrimp was reasonably cooked. When restaurants like "On The Border" exist nearby, there's little reason to go to Alebrijes. #notrecommended #skipit #bechego

At first glance the restaurant is nice and colorful but the first red flag is that there’s barely any actual hispanics going to eat there. The service was good but when the food came it was not as expected. The meat is not seasoned well and is dry. The birria tacos do not look like birria tacos with consomé and it just tasted odd. I would recommend going somewhere else if you want real authentic Mexican food. This is not a good representation as someone who has had really good Mexican food.
