Bertie’s always has an extensive beer list. The burgers are spot on, locally sourced meat, chicken pitas are amazing, wings great, too. There are always different activities each week night, tons of TV’s with your favorite sports on. Family owned and operated. I’ve had, on rare occasions, a longer than desired wait for food but if you knew how small the kitchen was you’d understand how hard they are working to pump food out. One of my favorite places to dine.

Bertie’s is a great place to have a beer but they can not get the food right. Waited 45 mins this Sunday for two wraps that never came out this is the second time this happen. They need to get the kitchen right

Place probably hasnt changed since it was built. It's worn in, kind of ugly on the outside and a maze in the inside...neat outdoor area that is tented and weatherproofed with a huge bar. All of these attributes plus AMAZING food, make this one of my favorite places to eat in this past year. The burgers are 11/10 or A++. However your grading system works, this place is a winner.

Had a great meal and a large pickle which I loved. Live music was excellent. Atmosphere was fun and upbeat. Good time with family and friends. Wait staff was helpful and efficient.

I would not normally write something like this but the situation unfortunately pushed me to have to do it.

My wife and I just had a horrible experience at Bertie's. We were sat, with our almost 4yo and almost 2yo, right next to the giant inflatable Philly Fanatic. Our 2yo started absolutely losing his mind. Full-blown meltdown. Completely hysterical. We tried to calm him down to no avail. After he got so worked up that he threw up all over my wife, I kindly asked our waitress if we could be moved to a different table, of which when I asked there were about 8 or 9 that were open. She stated that she understood and was going to ask the manager.

Not only were we not moved, which would have been understandable if they were all booked with reservations (which they weren't because at least 3 tables were still open when we left) but the manager didn't even have the dignity to come talk to us. In fact, she never even came back out onto the deck the entire duration of our meal, hence why I am writing this and not redressing my grievance with her directly.

We always try to support and promote our local businesses and always try our best to be kind, polite, tip well, be part of our community, and treat people with respect. I have also worked in service for many years and know what it takes to have to manage requests from, at times, rude or uncooperative customers. This was not that type of situation. This was about the mental/emotional state of a toddler. While he eventually calmed down, he didn't eat and he clung to me and my wife the entire time, turned away from and refusing to look in the direction of the Fanatic.

I have never felt more disrespected as a paying customer in my entire life. I have never felt more defeated as a parent. Could we have left, yes. Should we have left, maybe. I am torn even now as I conclude this post.

I just want other people with small children to know how we were treated. It saddens me, but we will not be returning.

We're always looking for new places with live music. Bertie's is a little off the beaten path, but I consider that a good thing. At 6:30 on a Saturday night, the place was jam-packed, but we had made a reservation. So we had a table near the music on the deck. It was a beautiful day, but the night air was getting chilly. They rolled down the awnings for the deck, and we were all good.

We had a new server. It was her third night, and she was busy. Even so, she was great. She got our drinks and food quickly, checked back regularly, and was very nice. My drink was never empty for long.

The food was good. I had a bowl of super chili and garlic/parm wings. There were some miscues with the kitchen (they forgot the "super" part of my chili, mostly missed the wings with the sauce, and forgot my friend's salad dressing) but these were all fixed within minutes. No big deal. The music was great too, Johnny Gallagher has some new fans.

Parking: There was plenty of parking, but it seems to get a bit tight when they're really busy. We ended up parking in the grass to the left of the deck, along with a lot of other people.

We had a really nice time here. Food was good. Nothing crazy. The bartender/waitress was very good and had a great personality! The atmosphere was great too! Lots of area for people to sit and eat and watch one of the many TVs. Overall a great place to go to!
