We had their food before through friends and it was great. But we did go in as we went but to look very nice. Handy cap outside easy to use wheelchair lift because a lot of steps
It's a nice place, but a bit overpriced.
The turkey sandwich was really tasty although kind of small. Loved the flavors though especially the bread. They also had a wild mushroom soup on special that was excellent. Really enjoyed that. I would recommend overall
Hidden Gem! Only open Monday - Friday and located in an industrial complex. They have lots of delicious baked goods both by the slice and whole. So much variety on the menu featuring fresh and homemade style foods. Coffee was perfect and service was friendly. Can't wait to come back and try more!
Drove to Reading for a morning meeting, so stopped by (1st visit there) for breakfast. Their sausage skillet was one of the BEST breakfasts I've had in a long time! The sausage was perfectly flavored, the potatoes were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, there was just enough heat (I like spicey) in the jalapenos, the sunny side up fried egg on top added the needed yolk to run down over everything, and the green pepper & onion was the perfect final touch! I will definitely stop and have it again! The coffee was great, but it did have a bit of the grounds floating in it☹️. Very minor thing that did not beminish my experience!
I moved away from the city a few years ago. Every time I drive back to my old house I really want to go to the Cafe, and unfortunately they’re closed on weekends! 😭 but! Yesterday the stars aligned and I was able to stop by for lunch!!! Pictured is the almond and pretzel crusted chicken tenders featuring bell and evens chicken! You have a choice of 3 sides and I picked the salad.
Also pictured are two of the desserts currently featured for Christmas! The two desserts only cost $13 combined!!!
If you’ve never been, you’re missing out. You’ve got to stop by and check them out.
Great prices delicious sweets
Sweet Street , Carpenter Steel and the Pagoda define the City of Reading. This is like a Foodie's Food Lab tucked into the urban manufacturing landscape and on Sweet Street's campus. It's genius is in its authenticity as a Cafe. It's allure is in the ingredient sources being of the same quality of its product line ( As In The Best) . The magic is when you discover you never want to eat breakfast or lunch anywhere else again.
Traditional Cafe offerings to international and regional delights @ fair prices. The closest thing I can think of is a Deli in Dubai, a Cafe in NYC, or an upstart new culinary hotspot in London.
We love Sweet Street Deserts and apparently the feeling is mutual. Well done ( as per usual) Sweet Street.
Food is always good. I think though it would be great if they kept more wraps on the menu all the time. The only wrap you have to pick from is one wrap special of the week. I also think the music is elevator music that they play. They play it loudly. No one wants to listen to that play some hits with singing. I also think it’s ridiculous that you can’t pick anything with the combo special you have to get an egg sandwich. Why do you even have a combo special? The size of their hot small coffee lattes is embarrassing maybe it’s like 6 ounces. Anyhow due to these things I’ll go to other cafes over them.

Whatever you do don't get the gyro! I'm not sure if they're trying to reinvent it or if they just don't know what a gyro is but it was awful! Not much of a sweet selection either but the place is cute.

There was a bug on my friends side salad today. Bummer because it was the first time I took her there today and I talked the whole place up. The fries were yummy like always but the side salad that came with her mac and cheese had a live bug on her food.
