Possibly the worst meal I've ever had to pay for.The food had a taste of flowers. I don't know why, or if the dishes were washed with something leaving a taste of flowers soap.It was a Thursday evening, and my friend and I were the only 2 people in the restaurant. The waitress wasn't too sure how to answer our questions about the meals we ordered and had to keep asking the cook for answers. For the price of the meal, it was a terrible deal.

This place is disgusting. Seafood is not fresh. They advertise “fresh catch of the day” on the menu. Today it was flounder despite the manager referring to it as salmon several times when having a discussion with me about the fact that it was obviously frozen, thawed and smelled like it was about 2 minutes from being rancid. The fish and chips is nothing more than the largest brown mass of fried food I’ve ever seen. The outside is fried hard while the little bit of fish inside is cold. Go figure. The lobster roll is loaded with onions. Onions don’t go in a lobster roll, so that was disgusting and you might think you could at least eat the roll, but no that was completely stale and fell apart when you touched it. Oh and one more warning- if you go here don’t touch the oil and vinegar containers- I don’t think they’ve been cleaned in 5 years. We had a party of 14 for a birthday celebration. Worst birthday dinner ever. Woulda had less to regret if we had gone to Wawa for a birthday dinner. Pathetic.
Went for a birthday dinner with large group. Atmosphere was very cool nautical theme. The service was great our waitress was very attentive and pleasant. The food was very good and in-house desserts were amazing we will definitely be returning
Food has no flavor. None. My wife and I got stuffed flounder. No obey, nothing, veggies , no flavor, the crab it was stuffed with was good. Told our server they did nothing. And cup of crab bi wasn9$ had bac wrapped scallops. They was deep fried a bit over cooked.
I asked my husband to bring me here for my birthday dinner. We were here in 2019 and everything was delicious, so I wanted to come back. BIG MISTAKE!! I had the crab stuffed flounder with coleslaw and a baked potato. The only thing I enjoyed was the coleslaw ? the flounder tasted like a frozen flounder from wal mart, and the crab was mainly mayonnaise with very little crab, I left the majority of my main course sit. I tried to pour my melted butter from the claim bucket on it to make it better to no avail. The baked potato tasted like it was boiled in water and the skin was soggy. I went heavy on the salt and pepper to lift the flavor and still only took 3 bites of it. My husband had the chicken with crab imperial. His crab imperial was similar to mine, lots of mayonnaise with very little crab existing in the mixture. His chicken was left on the grill to long, with black charred markings from the grill. He had brussel sprouts, that were seared, and they also were left black from being over cooked with no taste whatsoever. Looked like they threw them in a pan with no butter or oil, no seasonings, this dinner was so disappointing, we will not be returning. ?
The atmosphere was amazing, coming into the restaurant you are greeted with high vaulted barn ceiling tastefully accented with marina, beach, barn type deco. The service was amazing as well, our waiter did not leave one glass empty and came to us as needed to have a beyond joyful experience. I forgot the best part. 2lbs of snow crab did not disappoint ?

Great place! Love the decorations, super original. The service is really good, and the variety and favor of the crab is superb ! It's definitely a stop you need to do in Reading, PA.

I get it. They’re short staffed. We told the manager we were cool and in no rush. The problems started when the bartender brought our food out. We ordered 12 raw oysters. First off the shells were double stacked without being cleaned. That means sand and black funk was getting on my hands and on the oysters underneath. The shells were also full of sand, and the oysters hadn’t been loosened. My wife asked the bartender for crackers. He walked away without commenting or acknowledging. She went to another server to ask for crackers. The bartender was walking past and called her “needy”. That’s it. I told the manager what happened and we walked out. Nobody talks to us like that and gets our business. Stay away
I hadn't been here since the new owners took over which was many years ago. Dinner time and the place is empty. Should have been a sign. Won't be back.We never ordered, we ate our junky appetizers and left. Our server was great and we tipped her huge.

So I had not been to the Crab Barn in many years. It had shut down and reopened and I wanted to go again. Man, was I disappointed. Lettuce in salad was wilted and slimy, crab cakes were tiny and had no lump crab meat in them, lobster was overcooked and one of the tails was rancid. Seriously feeling sick right now. Do NOT go here! There are way better places for seafood that are not even seafood places.
Had it for lunch days ago , the worst service and food , your better off going up the street to Red Lobster, it’s a barn that should be feeding farm animals
I had lunch there for the first time today and my last time, the worst experience ever , the manager is a pure evil racist and I regret even stepping foot in there, it’s definitely an undercover racist racist barn that should take a course on humanity, the food is basically on the level of Seafood night at Popeyes.
Very cool place, lot's of atmosphere. I had the boom boom shrimp and it was the best! Mussels in garlic wine sauce perfect! The manager/server was very sweet and attentive. All around great lunch... thanks!
