We were in reading to see a show, and Maria's Lounge was down the street from the Arena. Spanish food was really good, and I had a variety to pick from. The service was excellent, and the price was reasonable. It was definitely worth it. 😊
I called in a XL Large pizza, half mushroom, half pepperoni. Was told it would take 25 mins. Normal. I paid nearly $30. Also, about normal. Now, the city of Reading, PA is a little farther for me to travel. Mama’s Pizza and Romeo’s Pizza are both in my neighborhood and both are excellent! But Maria’s has the hot and fresh with cheese that strings when you break apart the slices. The hot and fresh type that can be found on the board walk. I recommended this place to my mother who was excited for this pizza from Maria’s but when I got it home, it was horrible! It tasted and even looked like whoever “made” it, took a cheese pizza that was previously made and was on display for single slice walk in orders, put the toppings on, then reheated it. Horrible! And a real shame if this is a practice used. Needless to say, we were very disappointed!
Food was great!! Just how I ordered it n even after the long wait time was still super hot!!!
It's a shame that they have to be in a pigpen like this. The food is the best. The pizza slices are as big as a small pie, and you have to turn the large pizzas sideways to get them out the door. Everything's hot, the prices aren't bad, and the beer selection's like a small distributor. It's sad that they have to let in the troublemakers that they do. In the meantime, where else can you get spaghetti and a case of beer at 1:45 am?
Food was an hour late, and wrong food was delivered
MARIA'$ U$ED' 2 BE A GOLD MINE BACK IN THA' DAY, & REAL TALK !??!
Listen, best pizza point blank if you are looking for that Dave Portnoy thin and crispy, delicious Brooklyn style pizza… hands down. Get a slice, fold it in half while you are walking down the street. Full effect.

We ordered a mix of items. Pizza, funnel fries, french fries, and fried chicken. The pizza and funnel fries were very good, but the regular fries and fried chicken were awful. The fries were completely salt less and bland, but it was the chicken that was the worst. I would describe them as bland, but they tasted faintly of fish. So, they were using old oil or the same oil for frying fish. Never thought I would rather have grocery store fried chicken instead of fried chicken from a local restaurant.
