We were greeted by an overwhelming smell, not sure if it was a cleaning agent or what it was, but it wasn’t pleasant at all. Next we noticed a big sign saying you can get a free margarita or beer since they don’t carry a liquor license. Ok, great. My daughter and I each ordered a meal. I got a margarita and it was good, Tortilla chips were standard and good. We didn’t care for the salsa so much, it was just ok. Our dinners seemed plentiful when they came out, which is great if you’re going for quantity over quality. Everything we got lacked flavor compared to other Mexican locations we dine at. The only real positive was my total bill for my daughter and I was only $27 before tip here, and the places down the road for my daughter and I are more around $45 before tip. It’s such a shame the flavors just weren’t there for us. There was only one server working the evening we were there. He did the best he could, poor guy seemed very overwhelmed. They offered us our empanadas for free since he forgot to put our order in for them. We could’ve done without them though because they were awful. So bummed about this experience, because we really hoped we would enjoy this more economical Mexican restaurant.

The refried beans and the rice were cold. The empanadas were over fried. The chimichanga was NOT fried. Every time the heat kicked on, it smelled like raw sewage. Will not be back.

Waaaaaay better option just down the road. Not really clean. Food was so so and service was fine. I can't imagine coming back, not because this place was terrible because I can't say that, but because of the aforementioned better option just down the road.

My boyfriend and I were visiting from out of town and wanted to visit a local restaurant while we were here. We picked perfectly! This place had amazing food. Everything was fresh and seasoned so well. I had the beef tacos and my boyfriend had the chicken fajitas. Both were phenomenal. If we lived in the area, we would be here all the time.

In a town with plenty of Latin food choices, Norte Sur stands out as one of the top choices in my opinion. We ordered out for dinner, got the Norte Sur nachos, empanadas, chicken quesadillas, a burrito, and enchiladas. All items were hot, tasted wonderful and were ready when we arrived. The staff is friendly and quick to ring us out. Will definitely go there again.
