Dave is amazing!My (now) wife and I hired Panevino to cater our wedding and we couldn't be happier. He helped us so much along the way to prepare for things that we never would have known we needed. With all of his years of experience, talking with him felt more like a wedding planner than just a caterer lol, not to mention the food was amazing on top of it all. My husband and I got married in September 2021 and I can confidently say that Dave and the staff at Panevino did everything they could—and more—to make our wedding one of the best days of our lives.Our wedding was planned during the height of the pandemic and, as such, we ran into our fair share of hiccups. We originally chose Panevino because they offered a fantastic value that had everything we wanted and the use of their restaurant space for our reception. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances related to Covid, their restaurant space became impossible to use. Before reaching out to share the bad news with me, Dave consulted our ceremony venue to see if they could host our reception and secured multiple options for us—at no extra cost. Similarly, due to the same unforeseen circumstances, Panevino was unable to procure alcohol for the event, but Dave worked with us to ensure we purchased the right amount and reimbursed us.Dave and his Panevino staff were communicative, kind, and invested in our wedding, and he more or less held our hands through the entire process. Our wedding guests raved about the food, the service, and the events of the night for months after. Despite the hiccups and stress of planning a wedding during Covid, our wedding day was flawless, beautiful, and nurtured to perfection by Panevino.We could not be more grateful.

I booked a wedding there a week ago this is just my experience.While touring and looking for a venue I really saw the potential and got a great feel for it. The actual execution of the day was average. Not the best and not the worst. It was advertised that the bridal suite would have mimosas. I didn’t have any bridesmaids but my daughter, mom, grandma, and wedding planner were with me in the bridal suite. We just wanted water but it was very hard to get even though it’s advertised as to have the mimosas included. The bartender said she knew nothing about it. It was really hot. I was sweating and so were the guests. Throughout the night I had to keep going up and asking for the next thing on the itinerary to be done such as dinner and cake cutting. The staff felt lifeless except for the two bartenders.At the end of the night there were confetti balloons that were popped and the confetti left on the floor from an independent decorator separate from the wedding planner. The guy in charge verbally attacked the wedding planner as she was the only one still there. She had explained that it wasn’t her responsibility bc it wasn’t. It was the decorator that should have cleaned up. He called me and left me a voicemail cursing me out. I still have it as proof. I called back and he immediately began yelling and cursing. I literally had to talk him down. I apologized for the confetti and it was cleaned up by the wedding planner. I would never recommend anyone to give there business to a place so willing to turn to violence at the first second of an issue arising.Pros: decently priced, bridal suite available, set up and tear down for you, open bar, bartenders were professional and fun, gives you time to set up anything personal beforehandCons: Food was tasteless, some soggy, and some overcooked, unorganized staff, not willing to take wrinkles out of the table cloths, hot, difficult to work with, and person in charge verbally attacked myself and the wedding planner to the point that other people had to step in

First off let me say sorry this is so super late as my husband and I just passed our 1 yr wedding anniversary. Special Occasions by Panevino should be the only place you consider catering your event. Dave was phenomenal in helping walk us through every little detail we needed for our day including things I wouldn't have thought to think of myself. My husband and I can't thank him, and his team at the restaurant for helping our wedding at the museum go off without a hitch. I didn't have to worry about a thing once we had a list of what we wanted, a few items delivered to them from us, and they did the rest. From set up the day before to being with us through the entire event, I couldn't have asked for better food and service for us and our guests. Everyone loved it and I highly recommend their business to anyone looking into catering. Thank you so so much Dave and the rest of the team!

Worst restaurant in the Reading area , they sold us gift cards knowing they only do catering they don’t respond back when you email or call an the one time I got ahold of someone they got an attitude when I told them about selling us gift cards that won’t work. Basically they scam i can only imagine how many people they got with this scam cause I read other reviews with people having the same experiences

Our food was great. The service was good. Plenty of parking. Nice bathrooms. Excellent venue for events or special occasions. The chairs in the dining room were very uncomfortable for me, sitting on hard wood without any cushioning or shaping.

Catered our wedding. The food and service was remarkable and everything went smoothly. Would recommend for anyone wanting a caterer for their wedding in the area!! The peach sangria they made disappeared without a trace early on it was so good, and plenty of leftovers to be devoured later!

We had our wedding catered by them and it was above and beyond what I had expected. The food was amazing and delicious, their staff and the owner were more then helpful, setting up, packing up leftovers, having everything flowing with ease. Fed 135 people easily, with tons of extra food for people to bring home. Plus, they made us a peach sangria in a fountain, 10 gallons worth, that was gone within 30 min of the wedding my only complaint is that I didn't bring them more wine to make 20 gallons of it.

So you can't make dinner reservations unless you have 10 people, I finally got to someone after waiting over 24 hours for a response. This is so disappointing since it's hard to find a good, romantic Italian place in the area.
