Philly Style Subs is a wonderful, actual family-owned restaurant known for its great food, generous portions, and very reasonable prices. The menu features excellent cheesesteaks, including the large smoked cooper cheesesteak and the Philly cheese steak with well-seasoned, moist meat and flavorful cooper whiz sauce. Other top-tier items include the Classic Italian, the supremo Italian, excellent smash burgers, and the best wings in the area, such as boom boom wings and hot honey wings. Sides are phenomenal, with fresh cut fries that are delicious and enough for at least four people to share.
The restaurant uses great quality ingredients, specifically Thumann's cold cuts and Liscio rolls, with attention to details like nicely caramelized onions. Portions are a lot bigger than expected, offering great value. The environment is characterized by family-like hospitality from the owner and staff. The menu is simple to understand with whole prices and brief descriptions. While the Italian sub can have a bread-to-meat ratio that seems like too much bread, and the roll on some cheesesteaks may not hold up, the food is overall amazingly delicious. Customers highly recommend trying the beef and cheddar, the roast beef and cheddar, the pork bbq with onion tanglers, and the R & R no whiz. It is a place that certainly knows what quality is.
