amazing food tacos and Cuban sandwich
First time trying Mofongo (fried dough made with plantains). I had the shrimp one with white garlic sauce, delicious! Everybody else loved their choices: burritos, quesadillas, rice and beans (the beans are exceptinally well seasoned), maduros, and fries (kid's can't live without good fries!). Nice family atmosphere and ambience! Friendly staff!

We had chicken fajitas & cheese enchiladas verdes….over-ordered with some chips & guacamole, but worth it for the EXCELLENT guacamole.
Very generous portions
A few doors down from the Santander Performing Arts
Attentively friendly service.

food was okay. ordered the cheese quesadilla which was not very tasty (it was the cheese actually). service was sort of fishy. when check came, it had the wrong item on the receipt which was way more pricier than the cheese quesadilla. the quesadilla wasn’t even on the receipt. i told the waitress that i hadn’t ordered that item and that i ordered the quesadilla. she didn’t know much english so she got the manager (im assuming he was the manager). they both spoke in spanish for a while and said they would refund us with cash. not sure how i felt about the check situation.

We hiked the Neversink loop in heavy snow. Exhausted and wet we looked for something in the city. Spanish and Mexican food was the craving. A new owner was there to greet us. We ordered the enchiladas and birra tacos. I got the birra tacos. My buddy wanted to try mine. It was so good I didn't want to share. He traded me an enchilada. And then proceeded to make yummy noises eating and dipping the taco. Enchilada was really good. Definitely would go back for them birra. They serve alcohol. Photos are the snow hike nearby.

Just had lunch at Rio Cafe, they are under new ownership. Gabino the new owner was super welcoming happy to have us there! The atmosphere was very cozy, the service was impeccable! Eli really made us feel at home and welcomed. She made sure everything was to our satisfaction! And the FOOD, AMAZING!! We are MD/DC natives but WOW this placed truly outshined our fave spots back home! Definitely will have to return! The mix fajita is to die for! And not to mention the Tres Leches cake was criminally DELICIOUS. truly wish them nothing but success, amazing all around.

Tried Rio Cafe before a show at the Santander Theatre which is right next door. We thought we had plenty of time, but food service was very slow -- we just made it. Server apologized for the kitchen and comped our appetizers. Which was nice. It seems like everything sat under a heat lamp for a long time. My mofongo had a dry crust outside, not pleasant, and the shrimp in garlic sauce was barely warm, sauce too thick, not flavorful. My dining partner liked their chicken fajitas a lot. Margaritas were good!
Dinner for 2 for $30, great value! Food was great and came out quick. We sat a bit after 6pm and finished and were out the door by 6:45, which was perfect timing for the show we were seeing next door.
We drove 2hrs to a nearby concert and WOW I must say that this restaurant took my breath away! The food, the drinks, the service 😋 it's just 100% worth it! I'll be back soon!

This place was a big disappointment yellow rice and beans ordered waitress comes back no yellow rice and no beans do not have none so I asked for white rice. She goes to the kitchen no white rice neither so I ate my red snapper with french fries and it was very very disgusting. It was supposed to be a red snapper and it taste like Susquehanna River tilapia. Wife ordered lobster and shrimp and sauce with rice and beans come back no rice and beans no lobster just shrimp and sauce. With
Plantains OK. we got two beef shish kebabs looks like they were made with mini steaks horrible horrible food. Not approved pictures look great we travel to it and got burnt bad. Any thing that was on the menu waitress had to go to the kitchen and check if they made it. Are they gonna make it or if they even have it? Bad business not worth the travel. You’re better off eating at a hot dog cart. How can you advertise and not have it or even display on the menu and not have it insane. Five thumbs down 👎👎👎👎👎 bad choke and puke.

I must say the food is AMAZING! The passion fruit margarita was on point a great balance with the mix and alcohol. The Pastellios was fresh, hot and delicious we tried all 3 and was not disappointed at all the shrimp was my favorite, the chicken steak and shrimp fajitas was amazing. Excellent flavor the beans and rice was good. Love the simple salad. My husband had fried pork with Mofongo. It was delicious as well. The food here is authentic. The service was great. Definitely will be back again.

Absolutely excellent food!
The best in town !
This place has no regard for the people who live in the neighborhood. They blast their music almost everyday from 5pm till late in the evening sometimes it be 2am in the morning. The hours of operations definitely don't match up with the hours posted. There is no way I should feel the vibration from their music in my house. I wish I knew they address so I can extend the same courtesy to them when they trying to relax and be peaceful in their homes. They suck....
