I was told by the owner to put the cake in the garage, for temperature control and to not put it in the fridge because the frosting would droop and taste bad. I woke up to this disaster. When I called the shop this morning she threw the phone down and had coworkers talk to me. They refused to replace or remake the cake. They also refused to refund my money and refused to cancel my next order. “they will consider refunding 30% in a few days. They are way to busy right now” now I have no allergy free cake to take to my daughter’s birthday party and it’s not like I can just go buy a cake from the store.

I love this small business bakery. Everything is made fresh daily, and if you don't get there early, you can miss out on some items. The lady who runs the bakery is always friendly and helpful. If you don't try this bakery, you are missing out. They also do catering.

Howler lasting
Bought macarons from the front counter. Took a bite of them. And they fell right apart. Not worth the $17 dollars I spent.Edit- I did reach out after the fact. And she was slightly disrespectful about the situation. And me going on here to leave a review. And she said how i didn’t need to blast the problem to the world.

I ordered Italian Anise cookies from the Sugar Rose. They were not on the menu, but they were willing to make them for me. They turned out really good and were a nice early Christmas present for my dad. Thank you!

I have never been treated so poorly by a business owner. I was gifted certificates for this bakery. A few weeks ago I tried to use them to order hot cocoa bombs. She told me the gift certificates were not allowed to be used for pre-orders. Yesterday, when I tried to purchase items from the case, she told me that the gift certificates were not allowed to be used for items in the case. When I asked her what they could be used for, she screamed that she would not serve me and that I need to get out of her store. She sells gift certificates and then pockets the money without ever giving people any items. I have seen a few reviews that people were treated the same way I was. And then she goes to social media and tells everyone that the customer was being mean. So a bunch of random customers who don’t know each other are posting the same thing about her, yet her customers are the problem?

Unfortunately it seems like this place needs a new owner.. all bad reviews state she is rude and doesn’t take accountability for her mess ups. Not a way to run a small business at all. Let alone not letting someone use a gift card on items that it doesn’t anywhere state you can not use it on. On website it says $10 minimum and no weddings. Not “can’t use for specific items”.
Poor customer service when it comes to a customer trying to use a gift CERTIFICATE.

I have never been treated so poorly by a business owner. I was gifted certificates for this bakery. A few weeks ago I tried to use them to order hot cocoa bombs. She told me the gift certificates were not allowed to be used for pre-orders. She had a few sandwiches on her lunch menu so I asked if I could use the gift certificates for that. I was told no. I asked if I could use them for other items in the store, and she told me the only thing that would qualify where the items in the display case. I came back a week later and started to order some sugar cookies out of the display case. She looked at me and said " you look familiar. I hope you aren't going to be using gift certificates to pay for these sugar cookies." I told her I had planned to, and she told me I couldn't because they had taken her three hours to make. I asked what I could use my gift certificates on, and she told me anything else in the display case. So I told her just to box up a variety. she then threw her hands up and yelled " I've changed my mind! I will not be serving you at all!" at the time I was with a special-needs adult who is easily startled. With tears in my eyes, I looked at the owner and said quietly "this isn't fair." I then walked out of the store. For the rest of the day she took to social media and posted lies saying that the reason she kicked me out is because I was being mean to her and her staff. I did not speak to her staff at all. And I most definitely was not mean to her. She very clearly has some mental health disorders that I hope she can get help for. I was going to take all of the goodies I bought from her to a Christmas party at my Legion. I ended up going empty-handed. :( She doesn't know that I had $50 in my pocket to give her as a cash tip just because it's the holidays and I like to tip. I've read other reviews and she has apparently done this too many people who are using gift certificates purchased through sweet deals, or local flavors. She signs up for the perks and just pockets the money, not allowing people to cash in certificates they paid for.

While their products may be delicious, staff and owner are unprofessional. Don’t try and purchase a gift certificate for a friend, owner will refuse use for your purchases and will call it a coupon when it clearly states GIFT CERTIFICATE. Last I checked, a gift certificate is the same as cash.
