Regretfully it did not meet up with our expectation of German cuisine. However, the food was good and I am sure the other items on their menu would be a good choice.
We ate there 2/28/25. The food was OK, but the service was extremely slow...not the fault of the new, 1 week hire waitress. The kitchen had 1 cook, and the owner had disappeared when I went back to speak with him. When we arrived we were the only diners...ordered burgers ...which took 45 minutes to arrive. I spoke with another 3-some table, who are regulars. They said they come for the food, but service is always slow and/or bad.
This place was a complete disappointment. The service was abysmal. I tried to ask if they could send someone over to us and was told I'm not a waitress. It got a little better when I walked over to the bar and I asked if we could order there after waiting 20 min and no one came by. The bartender was good. As for the food it's incredibly overpriced for what was a very small piece of chicken. We are also charged for the upgraded salad and broccoli. Neither of which were upgraded and the broccoli was dry. I really wanted to like this place as we love German food but this was very disappointing. Don't waste your time.

Great little place in a truly unique location. The food is good for the price and offers plenty of variety despite its German vibe. The actual restaurant is clean and inviting. Not much going on in the colder months so no wait.

I rarely leave bad reviews but I would really not recommend this place. The food is really underwhelming and so is the service. It really feels that the establishment just doesn’t care for the patrons. The service is extremely slow to even provide the basics like water, napkins, and silverware. We just had to wait and wait and wait to even be asked water. We had to walkover and get our own silverware and napkins. The food also took exceptionally long and was only okay. While we waited we had two other tables walk out due to lack of service - the place wasn’t even that crowded to warrant such an experience. We needed to ask for every single thing and it took ages to get it. We couldn’t wait to get done and leave. Would not recommend this place at all.

For all that it is a German style restaurant in a "German" village, the menu was quite broad. There were some German items and a great mix of choices for everyone. I think our waitresses was the only ones working today. They were very overworked. But all of the food was very tasty. I would go back, especially if they have the beef stew.

Owen served us and never left us dry. The food was phenomenal. Owner was present and servicing his patrons himself! The place is amazing. Pay them a visit!

Rice and schnitzel were nasty. Terrible service. The waitress actually rolled her eyes at us when we pointed out she added to our bill a side that was included in our meal and not an extra charge with a "fine, I'll take it off" and storming off. Very weird. First time for us leaving zero tip at a restaurant. We definitely will never return.

Tourist trap with mediocre food. Tasteless hot sandwiches come with neither napkins nor silverware. Would not come back for sure.

My wife and I went with our 10 month old daughter to eat here and will never be back. My wife ordered the Cordon Bleu sandwich, I ordered the Jaegerschnitzel and we ordered the mac and cheese for my daughter. My wife took one bite from her sandwich and it showed on her face how bad it was. I had a bite from my Schnitzel and it tasted like old and stale chicken, like it came out of a TV dinner and my daughter was not having the mac and cheese and kept spitting it out. Extremely disappointed about that, as well as the waitress not showing concern that all of our plates were still full and we didn't want to go boxes.

Gave me the real time feel for being back in the West German alps where I lived 3 years. Good german-style food entries available to enjoy!
