Friendly staff, clean restaurant, good service, but man the food is BAD.

Unfortunately we have been here many times and found a marked reduction in food quality. We ordered a very basic Mac and cheese which could have used greater cheese variety. The veggie risotto had potential but unfortunately was excessively salty. The salt built as we ate. My daughter enjoyed her chicken fingers and tots and the mozzarella sticks were fresh.

Stopped in on a rainy Friday afternoon. It was empty, but the twinkly lights gave it a party vibe. Our food was delicious and servings were generous.
Stopped in again last weekend for snacks and lunch. The food here is so good. Downtown is worth the trip!

Food was amazing. Drinks were fantastic and our server Tina was above and beyond! I will come back solely for Tina!

Great atmosphere! Fantastic service! Thanks, Taylor! I ordered the perogies and kielbasa. The perogies were crispy and flavorful, and the kielbasa was delicious! Of course, they served that with caramelized onions and sour cream 😋 Oh and they had little charging stations at the bar for your phone! Nice touch!

Fantastic local Pub!
After seeing so much hype on social Media, I decided to give this place a try last weekend. Nice atmosphere, cosy and inviting. Delicious flavors, very friendly service, and overall value for money. A hidden gem, for sure.
Definitely going back with friends to enjoy the Drink selection. Thank you @Downtown Gastropub😋

I’m blown away by the quality of the food and the atmosphere. Place is always lively and packed even on a Tuesday. Easily the best bar in the area

This was our first time at The Downtown, but it won't be our last.

The restaurant was clean and well laid out and decorated for Christmas. We were greeted immediately and seated quickly.

Our server, Bryce, was great. Attentive, friendly, and efficient.

Our drinks came quickly. My wife's cranberry margarita was especially delightful.

The food was excellent. It came timely, but not in a rush. We got the tots appetizer, which was really tasty - the beer cheese in particular. My wife got the French dip, with real roast beef, not just cold cuts. I got the Kinda Healthy salad (with a cheeseburger on top!), which was really great.

Overall this is a fantastic neighborhood restaurant. There were people at the bar watching the game and families with kids in the dining area, making for a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

Kid-friendliness: There were several families with kids when we were there, having a fun time. Definitely fine for kids.

Good beer menu. Fish and chips was a bit odd. It wasn't crispy.

On 11/06/ my wife and decided to give the Downtown Gastropub a try. It's a very nice inside and not noisy. Just after we sat our waitress came and took our drink orders. The drinks are very good here. We placed our food orders , I had the southwest salad with chicken and my wife had the gnocchi. I must warn the portions here are big but the food is delicious. I will be going back here again to eat.I recommend you give them a try.

Going to provide a very objective and forthright review - I have been to this establishment on many occasions, previous owner and now I understand new ownership. The opportunity here in Royersford, the atmosphere and the simple things that could consistently be done to make this a huge success are being missed.

Food was generally solid - service (hardest thing in this industry) was average.

Decided to give this another try on a Friday night this past week.

Place was packed but clearly disorganized.

Sat at the bar - young girl who clearly was beyond overwhelmed and not set up for success was beyond unqualified for her role - not only did she lack the proper skills, professionally and socially - she is clearly not cut out for that job and the ownership should have identified that - dismissive and beyond horrible service, she also looked terrified.

Not a way to make money and treat customers, felt bad for her.

But here is the problem - rest of the staff (many seemed to be leftovers) also were disorganized and clueless at times.

I waited 20 minutes at a bar for anyone to even acknowledge us, clean a counter and let alone show any enthusiasm or energy for valued customers. Staring at them.

I was very patient and finally ordered some below par drinks and a basic appetizer - absolutely horrible food, cold, mess and no attention to detail whatsoever - pile of stuff.

20 minutes between drinks and 30 minutes for food.

Politely told them my disappointment - oh, sorry - removed the food (Not that I would have paid for it anyway) and charged me for overpriced drinks and horrific service.

Management - You want to survive here, I would clean up all aspects of the business in short order - many folks were very disappointed and this is an easy win for you.

Service, food and approach - all substandard, wanted so bad for this to be good - absolute mess and will not spend my hard earned money here again.

11/7 - Returned for another visit, service and food greatly improved - had Bryce who turned my opinion around 100%. Keep up the attention to detail and crowd management - make it a success!

Food and staff were excellent. I was genuinely impressed by the flavors and the portion sizes. You are definitely getting the full value of your meal at this place. I’m adding this one to the regular rotation.
