You can just feel the history in this place and it's fun to explore. If you're a first time visitor, get a seat in the basement down by the old chuch tunnel.
Upstairs, take a good look at that bookcase in the corner, it's actually a door leading to another large room.
As for the food, fantastic wings and cheesesteaks. Great drink selection, the freshest Yuengling in the area and the Guinness blends are a lot of fun. My personal favorite is the Darklord (Guinness and Lord Chesterfield).
This is a must-visit location when you're in the Skook.

Wings were great. Love the history. Staff not knowledgeable. Burger over cooked. Steak sandwich no taste. No one in charge.
Friendly place. Good food and plenty of it.

Our first time in we were on vacation. What a nice find! Backroom hidden behind a door. A downstairs full bar area. The food was REALLY good. We had burgers, salads, wonderful homemade chips. The raspberry mojito was amazing. Great experience!

Wondering why they have online ordering if the kitchen doesn’t get the tickets. I placed a small order and the wait was a half hour. I went in half hour after I placed the order and assumed it would be done. I went in and told the girl my name and she went back to the kitchen came back out and realized the kitchen never got my ticket. So 2 orders of fries took about an hour. The girl who gave me my good never apologized or said anything. Gave me the bag and I left. Don’t recommend the wooden keg and the girl wasn’t friendly and they made a mistake.

When my husband and I were there the place was very dirty. Look around and maybe hire a cleaning person. Bar stools even were coated in dust. We got wings and they were awful. This use to be a great place to go. But if the bar area is that dirty then how is the kitchen?

Good food, esp the apps! A little on the pricey side for what you get. Read the food descriptions carefully to know what you're getting. One of our party got the brisket burnt ends mac n cheese, which was actually brisket SAUSAGE burnt ends with mac n cheese, and was not pleased when he got sausage when was expecting brisket. Otherwise, good food and good service.

Really neat bar/ restaurant. Have been here a few times and the food is always solid, atmosphere is really cool, and the service is always friendly. It definitely takes you a step back in time with the stone and interact tile work. We showed up pretty late, close to closing, but they were very accommodating.

Great time with family and friends for St Patty's Day
Had a slight issue with coldness of food from the kitchen with our appetizer, but the service we received from Ayla was fantastic and so was the food after the little hiccup at first. Alcoholic mixes were great. Ayla came to check on us plenty and made sure we were well taken care of. Very good customer service!
Ate here with my mom on Mother’s Day. The Sheppard’s Pie was very good and my mom enjoyed the coconut shrimp with the pina colada sauce. I dug the old school Irish Pub vibes and decor. Would be a nice place to chill and watch a baseball game.
We were here for our final night in Pottsville. We had a nice dinner. My husband was very curious because of the speakeasy part! He had a Dark Lord (with Lord Chesterfield and Yeungling porter since the restaurant was out of stout) that he liked, and an Italian beef sandwich. We had cheese steak eggrolls, which were good, and I had a Jim's special steak sandwich. We were stuffed!
Wings were OK needed to be fried more to get crispy. Sausage brisket appetizer was amazing. Needs better lighting around the tables, couldn’t even read the menu
