There’s no where on Earth I feel more “at home” when traveling than at the Shawnee. It is clean, safe, and warm. I’m here for a week of vacation every year and it is a safehaven. The property - and you! - are personally and lovingly cared for by the kindest folks as part of their family. The area is also wonderful. I wish I could give the Shawnee as many review stars as stars I can see in the sky from their property - a million. I can’t possibly more highly recommend that you and your loved ones visit the Shawnee.

The room my wife and I stayed was very, very clean. I can tell that Bill and Thelma and very meticulous about keeping the whole Motel in great condition. I will be returning sometime. We also enjoyed fishing at Shawnee Lake.

On the way back to our B&B, we decided to stop at the Shawnee Country Market. In addition to being a full serve market, they offer a huge variety of desserts. I have never seen so many different flavors of soft serve ice cream. My husband decided on a medium cup of Chocolate. I had a small cone of Peanut Butter. They also gave me a cup as mine was melting quickly. Wow, we were completely blown away with the taste and generous portions! The staff was so friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stop.

We traveled there with our motorcycle group (10 bikes) and found the rooms clean and reasonable in price. Not every place is biker-friendly, the folks who own Shawnee treated us great! Great location for 93 Memorial & other local stuff. Next to a store and ice cream (and a Dollar General too). Next year we plan to visit again and make the Covered Bridge Tour. Only downside is there aren't any restaurants close by.
On our visit to Shawnee Lake to do some fishing we decided to stay here. The owners are so nice and our room was so clean and fresh. Reminded me of a motel in my childhood. We definitely will stay here again!
