Wonderful authentic experience, with delicious food. Easy to order, and a world class burrito.
We have been several times and have always been treated like family when we go. Everything is made to order and delicious! The volcano bowl and fajitas can feed 2, and margaritas are always great!

Sat outside on a beautiful evening. There were a few other families outside as well.
Ordered chicken enchiladas with each sauce on individually. There wasn't much cheese wrapped inside with the meat. All three sauces were very good though.
Service was a bit slow as it appeared only one young girl waiting on tables. She was pleasant when engaging our table.
The biggest drawback was the loud music played on a large outdoor speaker. It was uptempo and not appropriate for a dinner meal (maybe a happy hour with advertised dancing). We asked 3 different times to turn the music down.
I would go back for the food (maybe takeout), not sure I'd dine in.
I went to el vago today, and the service was good so was the food.

I went to the vago, they recommended the birria, and it was excellent, everything was very tasty.

Good food. Average service.
My family came here for Mother’s Day after exploring skippack. Our server(possibly daughter of owner?) was nice but inattentive. She could also use to speak more confidently. She’s young so I’m not hating on her, but the service could have been better.
Food was great tho! Very tasty especially for the area.
We came here for Mother's Day and it was such a disappointment! The reviews I read seemed good but it really was a terrible experience and we will not be coming back here. Im so sad this was the dinner experience I had for Mothers day. They didnt even try to make this a great day for Moms at all! While the outdoor atmosphere was really nice, the food and service were terrible. We were never checked on and the food we ordered was average at best, our Mahi Mahi wasnt edible at all because it was cold and rubbery. The remaining 4 dishes were good, but not great. Also. While we were eating, all we smelled was somonr smoking on the side of the building, all just unacceptable. I really would never recommend this place to anyone.

Small, quaint, rustic Mexican restaurant within a picturesque building in Skippack Village. Lots of interesting decor to see with cute outdoor seating and decor. Ordered the fajitas with heaping amounts of well seasoned chicken. Best I ever had.
Drove a half hour said says its open and wasn't...very disappointing.
Myself and my bf came for some food after walking the village, it was around 4pm. We arrived and it was very quiet, nobody was around inside or outside the restaurant. We walked in and there was a younge girl appeared to be 15-16 years old. We asked to sit outside bc it was nice day , we picked our own seating area bc there was nobody around.
She provided us water and a menu. Didn't offer us anything drink wise but the water. She also told us its dinner time so we couldn't order any lunch but if we wanted a taco they can make that. Every dinner option was over $25 and there wasnt alot to choose from.
I request for chips ans salsa and was provided chips with paste. Honestly never been served something like this. It tasted like a spicy tomato sauce. It was not salsa.
We took one taste of the paste n didnt eat it. After looking at the menu realizing we couldn't order much we decided to order two rib eye steak tacos $16.00.
Within 8 mins the food came out which is very fast. The rice was cold , tasted old, not good. The beans looked even worse again cold and had fuzz in it. We each took one bite of the tacos then realized more hair on our plate. Needless to say I was done trying to eat, we requested our check to leave. The waiter was younger like I said so I wasn't going to take it out on her personally but when we received the check they tried charging us a ridiculous price. I advised her absolutely not we didn't even eat the chips and paste, and the food was horrible, cold with hair in it. The girl said we had the taco dinner I stated we just ordered the tacos . She said the taco dinner with beans and rice , I advised her no I asked just for tacos for $16 and we didnt even eat that bc the food isn't fresh n there is hair in it.
I said u can have $20 but im not paying this entire bill
The waiter said she has to go talk to her mom and left. She came back and said her mom said we dont have to pay anything and walk away.
I cant imagine how many ppl they do this too and how many ppl actually pay for old cold overly priced food. This place was absolutely horrible and we won't return.

Called on the phone, was told they do taco Tuesday. Walked in and waited for 15 minutes to speak with someone. Finally she came out with her breakfast and sat down. Handed me a menu and the prices weren’t what she said over the phone. Would skip just because of the terrible customer service

I love Mexican food, the problem with finding El Vago is that I'm terrified of being disappointed by everyone else.
