Really a gem that my fiance randomly looked this up during a long road trip as I was hangry and really craving amazing Caribbean food on the way back to Pittsburgh. I woke up in Staten Island craving doubles and roti and much to my chagrin there were ZERO options open unless we attempted to go to Brooklyn which we didn't have the time for... So I had an itch to scratch since morning...
This place ❣️ A true blessing. One Love to my Liberian sister who served us. Lila was so personable and sweet! We arrived 20 minutes to closing desperate and skeptical because we were so far from NYC...
I ordered Jerk Salmon which came with a bed of sliced potatoes and Roti. I only regret not ordering the pumpkin or spinach on the side I was also wishing for...
But baby! The serving size was just right! Flavor profile? Correct! COMPLETELY satisfied with this meal. Can't wait to try the vegan options.
It was delicious and just what I needed to soothe my hangry spirit on a 5 hours+ drive. You would've thought I was in Brooklyn! #iykyk

I've been looking for a Caribbean restaurant local to me for a while. Unfortunately, the Poconos (where I live, anyway) are pretty vanilla when it comes to any sort of ethnic restaurants. Caricom Spices Restaurant is a bit out of the way (45 minute drive from my house) but well worth the travel time. Their food is amazing (I had the oxtail) and the woman behind the counter greeted me with a smile (a huge plus in my opinion) and filled my order with speed and efficiency. I will definitely be visiting again in the near future.

Amazing Vegan Ice cream and the coconut cake is a must have!
Best island food on the mountain by far. Great portions too.
One of the best food I have eaten, in the whole of the USA, they really give you too much food 😂, you can serve three people with it or three servings for you, congratulations to the chefs there continue keeping the Caribbean culture alive,
Food is horrible , Flavorless /not fresh. I received linguine and browning For lomein dry leftover jerk chicken And no sauce . Curry chicken dinner flavorless , I had a few bites and threw out the rest not even 30 mins in my stomach started to hurt .

Scrumptious food!! Tried all the Caribbean resturants in this area and none can compare to this one. Just wish their doors are always open according to their listed hours of operation.

I've tried nearly all the Caribbean restaurants in the area, and this one is by far the best. The presentation is excellent, and the flavors are absolutely delicious. My husband usually orders the Jerk chicken, while I go for the curry chicken, and it’s consistently amazing!

Absolutely great dining experience with some fantastic food. I had the festival and fry fish which was cooked very professionally with great flavor. The jerk salmon my Dad ordered had a nice smokey taste and the potatoes were very soft and seasoned. Our server Judah was very friendly and was from Guyana just like my Dad. Highly recommend resturant.

We are Caribbeans from Brooklyn NY who came to CamelBack Resort to get away from the city life. We stumbled upon this great restaurant with wonderful Caribbean cuisine that’s vegan friendly which is difficult to find in most places. The chef and hostess were very polite and super attentive to our needs and OMG!!! I can’t begin to start raving about their brown stew fish, rice and peas and their vegan ribs DELICIOUS!!! My daughter a very picky eater who loves jerk chicken couldn’t stop eating. This is our spot to eat whenever we’re in Tannersville
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Menu is equal to regular menu
Parking: There are lots of parking spaces
Kid-friendliness: They also sell vegan ice cream and Caribbean flavors of sorbets
