Enjoyed two lunches at Andy Gavin's this week and each time the food, drink, & service were exceptional. In particular, loved their cheese curds, chicken cheese steak, and espresso martinis. I will definitely visit again.

Andy Gavins is a must go to Irish pub in Scranton! Ive grown up going to this place, and the food is always amazing and they always have great beers on tap! Frenchie was our last server and she provided great service and a perfect Guinness pour!

Great place to eat and drink! One of the best Irish Pubs in NEPA. Frenchie was an awesome server and the food was fantastic. Also the Guinness Drafts hit the spot

Frenchie is super beautiful & friendly. Excellent service and recommendations. Very funny and friendly but not out of obligation! It's her natural spirit. Great place to go for good company, food, and drinks. Ask her about what drinks & food are good. You will be satisfied! Amen.

Awesome place and one of my favorite Irish Pubs! Andy Gavin’s has the best Guinness draft in NEPA. Our server Frenchie was kind and provided quick service. I’d recommend this place to anyone on just the food and drinks alone but the service is also great too! 10/10

We love reuben sandwiches. In our years of traveling, only 2 restaurants,
we have been to have received a 5 star rating on the quality, taste, look, size, and lots of sauerkraut . We did order extra sauerkraut on the side so we could evenly spread it over the sandwich ourselves.
This was an amazing sandwich at a very reasonable price.
They were very busy but we got a seat right away and the wait for our meals was reasonable.
The setting was nice too.
We highly recommend this place!!!

We stopped by during Oktoberfest for a couple drinks and a pretzel. Service was great, staff was exceptional, prices are reasonable, and their patio is dog friendly! Our pup enjoyed it as much as we did. We'll be back for date nights in the future for sure.

It's definitely a place where you'll wanna check off your, " I gotta investigate this place." I didn't get a chance to sample the food or drink, but for sure next time. It was a very inviting, friendly atmosphere, and had enough subtle happenings to keep you on your toes, and the staff that I encountered they couldn't have been more accommodating. We will go back. This place is wonderful, great history, great staff. Daily half priced apps right when I get off work. How can ya beat that?!

Googled Pet Friendly Restaurants in Scranton. It was the second place on the list. We were driving from Missouri to Connecticut and needed a pet friendly place to meet my 32 year old daughter and family for the first time. They were great about everything. So glad we went they treated our dogs like royalty. Food was excellent, superior serve. Great atmosphere. I would recommend anyone to dine or have a drink. Thank you for a great experience!

LEFT HUNGRY.

I thought that maybe my bad experience was just an off night since it was a busy friday night, but based on similar recent reviews it seems like a trend. My boyfriend and I ordered a veggie burger & Street tacos with 1 beer. The beer never came after about 10 minutes, another waitress walked by and we asked about it, and was told “oh yeah we were out of that one”, which is fine but the waitress didn’t think to come tell us? Our food took 50 minutes to get to the table. Understandable on a busy night, but a table of 4 arrived 15 minutes later than us got ALL of their food 10 minutes before us. When the food arrived, the food was so mediocre. I understand that a veggie burger is completely different than a real burger, but it had zero taste. I had to ask for garlic sauce to get any flavor on it. I’ve worked in restaurants for the last 8 years and am VERY understanding of rough nights, but likely my first and last time here. Was not worth the wait or the money :(

This was my 3rd time at Andy Gavin’s and I do not recommend eating here. My girlfriend and I just went together and we waited for over 50 minutes for a burger and 2 fish tacos. Once they came both were flavorless and just okay. I had to ask multiple times for a beer, for which they finally told me after 10 minutes of back and forth that it was kicked.

Our main waitress wasn’t the best and took forever or not at all to come back to our table.

Outdoor seating was the only plus.
