A true 5-star experience!!!!!
This restaurant is my favorite in NE PA, and among my favorites all-time. It has a NY City vibe, modern, classy, elegant yet relaxed and comfortable. The food and service were exceptional. Ryan was our waiter.
My wife and I drove in from Maryland to take her parents, who are in mid-80s, to dinner for her mother's birthday. The staff, including Gabe the manager, exceeded our hopes for the experience we were looking for.
We loved the signature 519 cosmo and revival cocktails. The food was as good as any we've had anywhere.
Can't wait to return!

My third time here & it is consistently great! Came in for their Sunday Dinner, drinks where perfect, apps great, but let’s give the meatballs a moment…maybe the best the area has to offer…and there are some really good ones in town. Perfect size, perfectly soft, really excellent. Had the spaghetti it was spot on, just right. Finished the meal with lovely desserts and house made chocolates the whole meal made me happy :)

Great menu. Food well prepared. Innovative. Not you same old Italian. Service could be a bit more efficient. They were apoligetic though. Food us on rhe expensuve side. The side dishes easily serve two people per portion. We haf been travelling on Rte 6 all week so it wad nice to finally find gourmet food.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We stopped by Atera 519 in Scranton for drinks and appetizers and had such a great time! The vibe was definitely there modern, cozy, and the perfect spot to unwind. The drinks were on point, and out of all the appetizers we tried, my absolute favorite was the steamed manila clams and mussels so flavorful and fresh. A special thank you to our waiter, Crystal, who was so attentive and made the experience even better. Great atmosphere, great service, and delicious bites. Can’t wait to go back and try more from the menu!

Went here today for the first time sort of on a whim. First I will start with the positives. The inside is STUNNING. Definitely the prettiest restaurant in the area. Our server was lovely. The food was delicious! I loved the bread that came with the meatball appetizer and my entree (blush pappardelle) was very good. My main issue here was the portion sizes. For two entrees and one appetizer costing $104 before tip, I should not have left STILL hungry. We were there for an hour and fifteen minutes, and it took me 5 minutes to finish my pasta. Seriously. 5 minutes. Usually when you order pasta you’re expecting to be fighting through the last bites or to take a box home. Especially for the price charged here. But I genuinely finished my small portion of pasta in 5 minutes. Considering the price, I found this really ridiculous. I don't know that I'll ever come back here for that reason. Which is a shame because it was very delicious and beautiful inside. If it was $20 for that size I wouldn't be complaining. But $32 — absolutely not. It wasn't even a 1/2 size. Maybe I will try it again in a few years if this changes. If you’re okay with spending $$$ for a pretty interior and good dinner but leaving hungry then I'd say come here. If you don't want to leave hungry, there are better places for the price.

This was our second time eating there and the experience was quite enjoyable. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing with tasteful decor. The food was good as was the service. We will be visiting again.

The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because they charge a 8.5% service fee for using a card to pay. (which I am sure almost everyone does), while I think it might be reasonable to charge a fee that matches the fee they pay the card processor, I also know, as a business owner that they are likely paying 2.5-3% not anywhere near 8.5%.

Them charging 3X the fee they pay just feels like a sad attempt to pad the bill. It makes them look pathetic and desperate, which unfortunately does not match the rest of the experience (but does retract from it).

If you're looking for a night out with an elegant charm, this is your place. The food flavors are amazing. Tonight I had the burrata and bread basket trio for an appetizer. The Burrata was very good, flavorful and creamy. It paired nicely with the bread. The bread basket had a whipped butter, balsamic reduction with oil. My favorite was the balsamic and the tomato and basil bread. For my entree I had the apple brined pork chop, this was my 2nd time coming and having it and it is well seasoned, the blend of apple & Dijon marinate on your palette nicely. For the sides my husband and I shared the fingerling potatoes & tri colored carrots, two sides with our meals that made it all come together. As we continued to eat our waiter Ryan stopped in multiple times to insure our drinks were never dry. All the staff was very attentive to our needs and made us feel like we were the only ones there tonight. For dessert I had the Tartufo, if you want to know more about it their menu has everything listed online, this was so rich and the raspberry & chocolate sauce were my favorite! If you didn't know A'tera has their own pastry chef. Many restaurants buy their desserts wholesale and Serve them to you. Knowing someone is in house making these desserts makes the entire experience complete. I had a wonderful experience, thank you for everything tonight and the lovely jazz music too.

Came here for a birthday dinner, fancy ambience. Got scallops as an appetizer and it was not worth the price and I personally wasn’t a huge fan of the flavor.
