Walking in and you like you’re back in time. To that old local pizza shop you went to as a kid. The classic arcade games off to the side, the tables you bunched up in with your friends having a good time. We were welcomed with a friendly smile and asked what we wanted. We got a large pepperoni pizza and only waited 15 minutes. You could see the old style mixer they used back then and still use it today. We were told the owner has been there for around 57 years and stills enjoys his work. Our hotel was about a block away which was perfect and the pizza was still nice and hot. By far one of the best pizzas I ever have. If you’re a fan of the New York style pizza this is for you.
As I was placing an order I heard sighs of annoyance through the phone from the individual taking my order (not sure if it's because of lent and they were busy or because it's a Friday or what) but I still placed this order due to the high recommendations from co-workers and because we've gotten pizza from here in the past. After the order was placed my coworker called to adjust part of the order about 7 minutes later and was cursed out and threatened to have the cops called on her because she wanted to adjust one item on the order. I will never order from there again nor will anyone I am friends or work with. It's sad to have to not support a small business during these crazy times but I feel people should be aware of how they treat some customers. not sure if the police were contacted, but I wanted to advise potential customers so they are not in a similar situation.
Placed an order on the app, arrived at the store to find nobody there and the door locked, lights off.
Sitting as I speak waiting. I put in an order more than an hour ago and I've been sitting in here waiting for it for half hour.. Will not come back here. Not worth this kind of wait for two simple pizzas I can get else where...I'm leaving another review on top of this one. I gave this place the benefit of the doubt and yet again extremely displeased. Indefinitely never getting pizza here again. It was sloppy and disgusting and tasted partially cooked and there was a weird grittiness through the entire pizza including the cheese. Spending 30 dollars for two terrible pizzas is very aggravating.
Ordered a chicken Alfredo pizza which states it comes with green peppers. There were no peppers on the pizza. The pizza itself was dry with hardly any sauce.. it just wasn’t that great. I wouldn’t buy it again.
I’ve always loved this pizza but in the last few months the quality has been going downhill! My daughter who lives in Seattle visited over the holidays and couldn’t wait to get a pizza but we were all very disappointed! The pie itself was misshapen and crammed in the box, the crust was stale, the toppings were undercooked and poorly distributed! Over all a very poor quality!! What happened? If you don’t get it together and bring back the quality you will continue to lose loyal customers
Got to buona by 3:30 did not get any food even appetizer till 4:30 horrible service. We had to get up and get waitress for service a few times
Great food and pizza and we like to eat out here when in this part of the city.
Staff was doing nothing but complaining about having to work until closing. Stated that they were running out of things yet standing there making a pizza. The staffs children are running in and out of the kitchen.
Great food and prices and friendly employees

Very good, food little greasy but very good, and mostly good serve and friendly
This place used to be great. Has been slowly been going downhill.
Amazing food, but today we got a pizza from there man it was nothing to gawk at. it as if some ingrediants changed.. the crust was hard. the cheese and very dark but not burnt dark just.. a different cheese that didnt taste good.. and the sauce was also not good. idk if they had to cut budgets and get different products but for people who have been eating here their whole life... serious disappointment. hope it does stay that way.
I found out the hard way there is another restaurant with the same name. I was told to try bouna pizza by another restaurant owner, but I didn't realize what downtown meant so I ended up in this joint. Not pleased. The crust wasn't the worst but overall I didn't like the pizza. The sauce and greasy cheese went through me like liquid plumber. The pizza had an aftertaste that I cant place either. NY pizza, they tried, I personally hated it but the crust was decent. Hopefully they can fix the issues.
Friendly service, sort of long wait time, but overall a good experience.
