⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A True Italian Hidden Gem: Warmth, History, and Incredible Homemade Pasta!
My recent visit to Carmella's was one of those perfect dining experiences you'll be telling your friends about. On a cold, snowy night, stepping inside felt like walking into a warm hug—the beautiful Christmas decorations and cozy atmosphere instantly set a wonderful, familial mood.
From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. We were warmly welcomed by the owner and the bartender/server, who personally allowed us to choose our own table. Our drinks arrived almost instantly, a great start to the evening.
The food was truly exceptional. We started with two rich and flavorful soups: the Veggie-Beans-Garlic Soup (perfectly balanced, with the garlic enhancing rather than overwhelming the flavor) and the Lobster Bisque Soup. Both were incredibly rich and deeply satisfying—a perfect start to beat the winter chill.
For the main course, we couldn't resist the star of the show: the homemade pasta. We each ordered a different kind of stuffed pasta with sausage (I wish I could remember the exact names! 🫢), but what I can say is that both dishes were tender, soft, well-cooked, and bursting with flavor. The portion sizes were absolutely perfect—just enough to feel satisfied but still leave a little room for dessert.
And speaking of dessert... the Tiramisu with extra whipped cream was the ideal grand finale!
The service throughout the evening was the heart of the experience. The owner, who is also the chef, gave a personal touch, while the waiter (it was only his third time working there!) was genuinely warm, polite, and welcoming. The waitress was engaging, funny, and wonderfully forward. This beautiful combination of staff truly gives this 20+ year-old establishment its authentic, family-run atmosphere.
It's hard to believe the incredibly fair prices for this level of quality and service! If you are a pasta lover, or just appreciate a restaurant that pours its heart into everything it does, Carmella's is totally worth a try. I'm already planning my next visit.

At some point the a/c was turned off! I asked an employee if it could be turned down cause it was very hot. She came back & opened the front & back door. You decide on your priorities!
We were there for a party, plenty of room

My best friend and I had a cannoli lobster tail and it was life changing. Best dessert treat I’ve ever had.

I’ll elaborate on my one star rating after I preface this review by stating that 99% of our experience was top notch. My dad, myself and my 3 kids came here for dinner Saturday 8/17/24. I wish I could remember the waitress’s name because she was top notch. Great service, super friendly and on top of everything. The bartender was also super friendly and attentive as well as another waiter. And almost all of our food was very delicious. However, my dad ordered veal saltimbocca. It was a very sloppy put together on the plate and the cut of veal was extremely fatty. Needless to say, my dad nicely told the waitress that it was good, which she kindly agreed and asked to get him another dish. After she went back to the kitchen, the chef stormed out to our table to confront my dad and tell him to his face he was wrong that the dish was not bad and shoved a raw plate of veal in his face and kept saying “no no no you’re wrong. No fat”. I am still seething after this. It is absolutely ridiculous how unprofessional this was. I’d be embarrassed if this was a member of my staff. It’s unfortunate because everything else was so good. But I’ll be sure to tell everyone I know about our experience. Very very unfortunate
Dropped in while traveling because the food looked great on Google and Carmella’s did not disappoint. The food was amazing and the service was excellent.

Excellent food, excellent staff and service, and great prices… All in all an extremely enjoyable night out for dinner… and even an after dinner drink on the house! Will be back again soon.

Great food; a genuine Italian menu, and a decent price. Portions are more than generous. We went on a Wednesday, and there was plenty of seating available and we were seen almost immediately. Its tucked out of the way but definitely worth the drive, we will be coming back back here.
