So I went to Jim Thorpe today. Saw the pastries being sold. Normally when I go there I am buying close to $200. This time around, because I asked for a certain danish & not the one that had cherries are smeared & looking like a sticky mess, the guy with the glasses called me a pain in the a$$ under his breathe because I wanted the danish next to it not the messed up one he decided for me. If I'm going to pay $6, I would like the one that doesn’t look banged up. I only got a handful of items as opposed to several bags. I even said to him “sorry for being a pain in the a$$” to let him know I heard him. He didn’t acknowledge me but made sure to act all appreciative to the next customer. I love the danishes but disliked being spoken to that way. My little sale may not be a big deal but word of mouth is everything. I hope you get better people to help out. You should get what you pay for.

My experience with Carmella’s was in Jim Thorp during the fall festival. I’m always a sucker for Italian desserts so when I saw Carmellas I had to try something. I got a linzer tart and cannoli. First off the cannoli was one of the best I’ve ever had. They were being filled there, and the flavor of the shell and filling was amazing. Linzer tart cookies are one of my favorites. Not only was this cookie the size of my entire hand it was delicious. The cookie was buttery and flaky and the jelly was the perfect flavor. I wish I lived closer to the actual restaurant because I’d be there every week. 10/10!

Went to italian festival in downtown scranton. Had the most horrible napalitano pastry. You could tell it was old. And the filling was whip cream and not much of it. Bought to try. And visit shop in future. Won't be going there. That's for sure. Money wasted. Went into garbage.
Fresh, made to order sandwiches.
Stumbled upon this shop by accent and was so glad we did.
Pleasant, attentive service too!!
Excellent price!
Honestly, it's the perfect lunch. Wished I lived in the area because I would frequent this spot.

Charged me more than they should have on my credit card and then did not provide a receipt. Also the baked goods were honestly gross.

Didn't have the chance to travel to their shop, but had stumbled across them at Bacon Fest in a Easton, PA. There were so many choices that looked outstanding, but we decided to try the classic cannolis... FANTASTIC!My picky partner agreed that they were outstanding, enough so that he'd consider taking a trip there from our neck of the woods (about 2 hours south).
