my favorite restaurant ever. I live in san diego now and its still the best mexican spot ive eaten at which speaks volumes because thats kind of san diegos whole shtick. chicken burrito is my go to but be mindful if you get the jalapeños bc theres a chance they're extremely mild or the hottest thing you've ever consumed its a gamble

Two orders of chorizo tacos with a side of salsa and chips. The salsa is more akin to a pico, and it's delicious, bright and fresh.
The tacos were outstanding, and the homemade hot sauce was go good I'm kicking myself for not asking to see if they sold small portions so I could use it at home the next time I make tacos.
Add to that sone incredibly reasonable prices, and Chicano's is an absolute no-brainer if you crave Mexican food and you're in the area.

Server was very friendly and seated us promptly. Some of the best Mexican we ever had and we eat a lot of Mexican. Beef tacos and Veggie Enchiladas were delicious.

I really love this restaurant to start off the service is excellent they are really nice and attentive people. The food is amazing I have tried a Variety of food from the menu and it’s all really delicious. The prices are really affordable even tho the quality of the food and the portions are generous and amazing. Also the restaurant is clean the restaurant looks colorful and full of life. The bathrooms are clean and they always have soap and napkins.they speak English and Spanish and also offer pick up options. The only thing is that the parking is a litle small but the area is not that bussy of a street. Usually u can find parking near it.
Definitely would recommend if you are in the area.
