The greeter was abrupt and the food disagreeable. The sliced garlic chicken was tasteless, and the pork egg foo yung was swimming in treacle syrup. Even when the lump was rinsed in running water it remained sickly sweet. It ought to have had pork gravy and NO SUGAR! The order was ready promptly.

I've only gotten take out from the palace, but it's always a correct order, delicious, and the best quality in the Scranton/Carbondale area.

Best Chinese food in the area. Their sesame chicken, garlic chicken and hot and sour soup are my favorites. And when you eat in the service is great.

I ordered the chicken and broccoli and it was absolutely disgusting. I couldn't even eat it after one bite. The egg rolls were not edible as well. The food here used to be really food, very disappointed.

Food was awful and the service was horrible. First red flag I asked for chicken fried rice with my combo and was told it only comes with pork fried rice. You cant swap out for anything else without paying another charge. The second red flag was the lady was very nasty. I asked for plain fried rice with just egg and she looked at me like i had 7 heads and shouted "You just want plain rice"? Like thats a problem. Ill never order from this place again. I dont understood the point in being nasty you have a customer smh. 70$ never again dont waste your time theres plenty of other better options for cheaper prices and better quality.

Ordered food to go. Ordered shrimp with broccoli, got shrimp with cabbage? I couldn't tell honestly. The shrimp was overcooked and rubbery. Overall, super unsatisfying. I don't get why this place is so highly rated. I don't expect awesome Chinese food here in the Poconos, but even for "Chinese food in the Poconos", this place is sub par. Go somewhere else to eat. And why does everyone want tips for me picking up my food?? I worked in the food service industry for years and never expected tips for pick up orders...what exactly have you done to deserve a tip?? I don't get it. Anyway....there is better Chinese food elsewhere.

i did not very much enjoy the food, but i am rating 5 stars anyways for these reasons as follows: from the strip mall location, sparsely decorated entry way, the chandelier on the cheap school ceiling, fake flowers and classic paper chinese zodiac placemats on the tables, and the music playing so softly it's almost silent inside save for the clink of forks and plates from the four or so tables in for lunch (forks, not chopsticks, provided) and friendly kitchen chatter just out of earshot, this place sends me directly back to 8-year-old nostalgia, when my father would take me to places like this on days together, back in texas, when life was easy and simple. prompt help, choice of seat. lunch specials (many to chose from) come with pork fried rice, (which i asked to not be included so to my dietary preferences (god-related) so i cannot rate this dish), a choice of soup, wonton chips with sweet-and-sour dip, and a pot of hot tea. the water arrives in a goblet. perhaps i should have studied the menu longer, but my choices were as such: very goopy and gelatinous and disturbingly tasteless beef chow mein (i attempted to sprinkle some pepper in hopes of helping the poor thing out, but way too much came out of the shaker and it was pepper chow mein from then on), and egg drop soup that was ok but still very bland. i dipped my wonton chips into a combination of the soup and sauce which i liked the best out of everything. i really liked the tea. point is, this amount of food is simply worth the $<9 price tag, and the service was helpful, thoughtful, friendly, and sweet. next time i will try something else.

Kid-friendliness: personally i believe children belong at home or at chuck e. cheese. there is a child of an employee here though, and they are quite polite and well-behaved.

The food was very good, the service was fast, and everyone was very friendly.

I would definitely recommend checking this place out. There aren't a lot of sit down Chinese Restaurants anymore so it's nice to have that experience again!
