they don't have in house food so ur getting it from the place next door. we got food and it was not that great. the place is awesome. live music and wall art for sale!! drinks aren't ungodly expensive.

I just moved to the Scranton/Dunmore area from New York City. I was looking for a local place to “hang my hat”. After trying several local establishments, someone told me I should try Crotti’s on Ash. I met Sheila, the owner, who is fantastic about managing, serving and booking the bands for the place. I walked in on a Monday night and saw Clarence Spady playing a rendition of “Hey Joe” that floored me. If you don’t know who Clarence is- Google him. I’ve been coming back ever since. Every band or person that plays here is extremely impressive and high quality. Coming from NYC, it’s difficult to impress me but everything about this place is awesome. The people here are warm, good-hearted souls that make everyone feel welcome- Even a displaced person from New York City!

Very nice laid back local Bar. Nice relaxing atmospere. Not overly fancy but a welcoming tone. Clean. Vanishing Point was a very talented band.

Oof so I loathe to write negative reviews but the high score of this place led me to take an Uber all the way across the city to a residential area which should have tipped me off in the first place (Google Earth 360 the neighborhood 🤦🏼♀️) and when we walked in we immediately knew it was not as described but also that we def didn't belong because this was clearly a hyper local watering hole. Sticky floors, a bunch of middle aged men who've been over served harassing the female bartender, just standing in a room with music blasting and a 'bar' that consisted of only a few jugs of low tier spirits, some with paper towel stuffed into the top of the bottle vs speed pourers or caps, ocean spray and other juice bottles on the counter that was littered with loose change and dirty glasses and that was it. I then realized the pictures of Pappy were from 7 years ago (which feels like a fever dream to the current state), and I honestly can't think anyone would describe this place as having the best selection of anything. It's a local bar for locals. I don't advise going here if you're not from the immediate area.
Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly at least at night, the bar was filled with boorish inebriated men
I'm not sure how to explain it. I ordered my burger early but they already ran out of fries. Drinks were pretty good. It is truly a neighborhood bar where everybody knows your name. I had a good time watching how happy people were. Live Music was awesome

OK, I've been to Crotti's a few times now and they've never disappointed! They have an amazing bar chef that makes some of the best bar food you'll find in the area (I got a burger and the beef was so fresh and juicy), the drinks are great, and the atmosphere is prefect for the live performances they have! On the live performances note, they get, by far, some of the best groups around! I personally go there for their blues/funk performances and they're beyond incredible! I truly can't recommend Crotti's enough!
