Fantastic all around
Italo's is our go-to for a consistently amazing meal. Everything I have had here is a 10/10. I am never disappointed and the prices are very reasonable. The chorizo clari tacos are my favorite!! It will be hard to knock this restaurant out of first place for us.
Ok so if you like Mexican food this restaurant is the best I have had so far. Don't let the outside of the building deter you. Looks a little rough. Inside is nice and place is clean. Service was excellent and food was great and fair prices. I would highly recommend. Nice little bar inside had excellent strawberry margaritas. On street parking.
Phenomenal. Food 10/10 - owners and staff also 10/10. Regret not trying this place out sooner. Definitely recommend☺️
Excellent food and service
Breakfast is fantastic, just like all their food!
Ordered 16 tacos for a party and everyone absolutely loved them!! Thank you, we will be back!
Great food and good prices
Large, fresh, tasty, burrito
I haven’t had a better food experience than here. The Burrito Viajero was absolutely TO DIE FOR. I felt like each bite melted on my tongue in the most beautiful way possible. The guac was creamy, the meat was meaty, I wish I had 30 of them! I personally got Chorizo in mine, and it was delicious. if I could give 6/5 stars I would.
Restaurantji Recommends
The food is barely mediocre at best from the queso appetizer to the steak burrito and yet overpriced, the wait time is long and the service is average.
This is the best Mexican restaurant in our area, hands-down. Our server was phenomenal- relatable and down to earth, and attentive! The building is clean and updated. The food is absolutely perfect. I got the birria tacos and they're literally the best I've ever had. I will definitely be back and highly recommend you check them out!
SO good. First time getting food from here and it was so delicious. Amazing pricing for the amount of food they give. I definitely recommend coming here. I will not be returning to chipotle after I tried this burrito.
After reading reviews, we decided to give Italo’s a try; what a massive letdown.
I judge Mexican places on their Torta sandwich’s- and these were not very good. We each got a Niueka Tortas and a nachos al pastor to share. The Tortas were huge!
The bread was toasted? Stale? To the point where it was like eating a giant breadcrumb. Each bite was a task trying to gnaw through the tough bread mashing the filling. It was like hunks of bread snapping off into your mouth with some random filling. The chicken was flavorless and dry, the carnitas were flavorless and the addition of ham was unnecessary and overpowered everything else on the sandwich. Seriously, the ham was just bad. Dry bread chunks and ham. We ended up throwing away more than half of the sandwiches because they were just not good.
By throw away half of the sandwich, I don’t mean take one half and toss it, we literally took pieces off that weren’t eatable - most of the bread, the ham, some of the carnitas, some tough parts of chicken - and reconfigured the sandwich to make it eatable. So we probably ended up with half/less than half of the original sandwich to actually eat.
I’d you don’t care about flavor or quality but want a huge portion, this is for you. We got Tortas from a place down the street (Hacienda Volcan I think) that were much better.
The staff was friendly and really talked up how great these sandwiches would be, which made this even worse. Such a huge letdown.
The nachos were ok-ish. By the time we got to eat them (about 25-30min after pickup), they were so soggy that the chips had become mush and you had to use fresh chips (not provided) to eat them. Better than the Torta but not great.
Sadly, I won’t be back and would not recommend going.
I didn’t take pictures because we just dove right in when we got the food (I don’t eat anything else on a day we eat stuff like this)- the food did look good. But that is saying something - if I hadn’t eaten anything all day and couldn’t stomach eating this. It really wasn’t good. Also, it was $70 ($80 after tip).
I wish I could give more stars. Stopped in for lunch on the recommendation from a coworker and was not disappointed! I never realized until today that I actually haven't had good authentic Mexican food. Pavel was absolutely the best and welcomed my wife and I like he's known us for years. He very attentive and offered many suggestions based on foods we were familiar with from previous restraunt experiences. His attention to detail and the care he put into his food and drink recommendations did not go unnoticed. The food was delivered by someone from the kitchen who was also absolutely one of the nicest people I've ever met who also offered additional sauces for us to try. Hands down our new favorite restaurant and will be visiting for years to come!
