I have always like this place! Unfortunately the last two times I was there, both of the times after asking for rolls the lady grabbed them with her bare hands 🤢 same hands which she grabs the money with and gives change. That is just disgusting, money is the most dirty thing and you grab something other people are going to eat with that same hands you have handle money? Unless you don't care I'll keep an eye on how they grab your bread next time.

A must for delicious cinnamon bagels, rye bread, Vienna bread, Pullman bread and horns (boomerang rolls) are worth to buy in what can fit in a freezer 🤩
It’s all cash and the prices are superb!!
Be sure to visit next door the On & On.

I have been going to this place for as long as I can remember. That's a conscious 40 yrs. Conscious I mean by, as long as I could physically remember. Anyway, their breads have been done the same way since the beginning. They are way cheaper than the brand names that everyone buys and they are way fresher and just straight out better. They sell popular ones like multigrain and healthier options. I'll be straight here and tell you I don't like multigrain of any kind besides this one. Amazing breads and good prices. I guess it would have been easier
This is a more recent review after some time. I'm sad to report it's a sliver of its former glory. I bought 3 types of bread. I bought my original favorites rye and multigrain. We also bought Texas toast but that's for French toast. So, any normal bread would be fine. As for the multigrain. It was no different than the standard bread you would get in the supermarket. The rye isn't even as good as the rye I bought at Price Chopper. That is pre-frozen and baked on the day they sell it. The baked goods are still great and not quite as good as homemade anymore. The bottom line is: that I would rather save the trip and buy bread at my local supermarket. Since it's rustic, more flavorful, and overall better. I never thought I would see the day that I wouldn't recommend this place. Today is the day.
Kid-friendliness: They have lots of tasty treats for children here. 😋. Everything you get in the ready-made case you and your family will be satisfied with.

It's 2024 and this large bakery is cash only, no debit/credit cards. Walked in with no cash and had to leave with nothing. I guess some people just don't want to pay taxes.
Wish there was one in Lakeland,
