Had my birthday dinner there last night with the group of 11 friends of 40+ years! I had the stuffed blackened salmon! Was out of this world delish salmon was amazing and everyone was ecstatic with their meal & service ! I’ve been going to Russels for a long time and it’s still my favorite restaurant in Scranton top-notch great job Russel ?

I never leave reviews, but I was so impressed by my experience here on Saturday that I just feel like I really have to. My girlfriends and I met here for a girls night over the weekend and every single one of the four of us had nothing but great things to say about the whole evening. The service vibes were IMMACULATE; from the hostess, to the server, to the bartender, everyone added a positive energy to the restaurant. The food and drinks.. MY GAWD. We ordered quite a bit of food for the four of us to share, and there was not one single thing that we didn’t love; seriously, we talked about how good the food was for hours to everyone any anyone who would listen. Its two days later and I’m still talking about it and telling my husband that we need to make a reservation for our next date night. Seriously, one of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had.

We waited an hour and 45 minutes for our main course! Plus there was a fly in my husband’s horseradish!!! The food was awful! Will never go back! You would think they would compensate us for the fly in our food but no! Didn’t even mention it! I do not recommend this place!

First time here and it was not a pleasant experience. Waited about an hour and a half for food. When food came out receive horseradish that had a fly in it. Steak was rough. Spinach, garlic hair pasta was very bland. Vodka sauce pasta was okay, does not come with meat. Meatballs were good. Waitress was nice.
Went there has a group the staff was friendly the food was slow coming out I thought until it arrived it was delicious the steak was the size of the plate and good flavor and very large the place is a little pricey but well worth it

I have been trying to get in touch with the restaurant for over 4 days. we had a huge discrepancy with the bill! I really don't want to get into a pissing match on social media. however, working in the food industry for over 20 years, I have never experienced a situation like this. I've tried reaching out to the owner, I have left messages at the restaurant, and I've also left messages on his social media page.thinking someone would get back to me. but I guess if that's the way you need to make money in this world now so be it.
