Dress code is the ridiculous, can’t have hoodie? Some people are anemic and get cold very easy but who cares about hoodies…sweat pants I can understand hoodies and hats. Nah..

Good place to stop before a night out for a little bit. It’s your typical bar.
My main issue is the dress code that they enforce. My friends and I looked it up online and dressed accordingly, but they don’t really follow it, multiple people were wearing shorts, hats, beer shirts, etc. I don’t mind that AT ALL because in the end it’s a bar in downtown Scranton, but it should probably be enforced or not exist.

$10 auto gratuity on any tab that they don't tell you about unless you ask. Way over priced drinks rivaling live nation montage and no beer even on tap at all. Worst part is that it feels like you are entering a police state. Experience is no better than 2 dozen local places and not worth the treatment or prices. Won't be coming back.

I went out with friends to celebrate one of the girls’ 21st birthdays. I paid the cover and started heading downstairs when I heard my friend behind me get denied. She’s from New Jersey, where your license expires on your 21st birthday, but she had an official temporary license from the DMV. The bouncers refused to accept it, were extremely rude, and just pointed at a sign that said, “We have the right to refuse service to anyone.” If that’s your policy, fine but there was no reason for the attitude. We stood outside for a while and decided to try again, thinking maybe we could talk to a manager. The staff made it seem like she was going to be allowed in, so I paid the cover again and headed down the stairs. As I’m walking in, I hear them say no to her again. So I turn around, go back outside, and try to figure out what to do since she still wasn’t allowed in. We finally decided that some of us would go in for a little while since we already paid. My friends went in first, and when I tried to follow, the bouncer suddenly told me I was “too intoxicated” to enter. That was a complete lie I hadn’t had anything to drink since the first time I went in, and if I was really that drunk, I wouldn’t have been allowed in earlier. They were clearly just being rude at that point. So I walked out again and decided to ask for my money back, since I was charged twice and now wasn’t being let in. The guy asked to see my bank statement to prove I paid twice, but I had used a Discover card, so the charge wasn’t showing up yet. He kept asking, and I finally had enough and demanded a refund. Thankfully, they gave it to me but it doesn’t make up for how poorly I was treated. Overall, it was a terrible experience. The staff was rude and disrespectful for no reason. This is Scranton, PA not Times Square in New York City. Chill out.

Love the music they play and the drinks are made well but wow the service is terrible. Went with my friends last week and one the workers that was taking the cover looked me up and down stating she will let me go this time but we do have a dress code that has to be plain attire. Mind you, people that were walking by me and out of the place were wearing sweatpants, ripped jeans, and non plain attire so I was a bit confused. I wasn’t wearing ripped jeans, any hoodie, or baggy clothing. The bouncers didn’t even give me a problem with what I was wearing. I felt like I was being targeted for some reason idk. But my recommendation is having a talk with your staff and how they treat customers.

What a gem Sergei’s is!
The food? Always delicious.
The vibe? Spot on.
The staff? Honestly some of the friendliest and most attentive in town. Huge shoutout to Erin, Ericka, Gabe, Christal, and the whole crew I know I’m missing a few names, but y’all always crush it.

They’ve been bringing in some incredible entertainment, too.

The venue itself is gorgeous.

Basalyga absolutely nailed the renovation. Took the old Tinks/Hardware Bar/Levels space and turned it into something Scranton can be proud of.

It’s just awesome to see places like this popping up around the city.
Scranton’s glow-up is real and Sergei’s is leading the charge.

Highly recommend.
